Rumored specifications of the upcoming BlackBerry A10 surfaced last week. Vietnamese website that posted images of the images of the battery cover of the device has posted the hands-on images and a video of the device. Specifications of the device matches the earlier rumors. It would feature a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display, powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon MSM8960 Pro processor and run on BlackBerry OS 10.2. Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that provides telecom services under the MTS brand has expanded its CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network to 4 more cities, Bhiwadi, Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur in Rajasthan. MTS launched the world’s first CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network in India back in September 2011 starting from Jaipur. At that time MTS had also launched MBlaze Ultra dongle that offers internet speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps. Samsung begins mass production of 3GB LPDDR3 RAM for mobile devices

Samsung Electronics has announced that they have started mass production of 3 gigabyte (GB) low power double data rate 3 (LPDDR3) mobile DRAM, for next-generation smartphones. This is industry’s first high-capacity RAM since most of the high-end smartphones use 2GB of RAM. The Samsung 3GB LPDDR3 mobile DRAM uses six 20-nanometer (nm) class 4 gigabit (Gb) LPDDR3 chips. LG reports net profit of $139 million in Q2 2013, record 12.1 million smartphones shipped

LG Electronics has announced their earnings for Q2 2013. They have reported net profit of 156 billion Won (US$ 139.4 million) with operating profits of 479 billion Won (US$ 426.92 million). In the mobile communications sector it reported operating profit of 61 billion Korean Won (US$ 54.37 million), which is 35% more compared to Q2 2012, but it is 3% less QoQ. LG shipped 12.1 million units of mobile phones in Q2 2013, a 17 percent increase compared to previous quarter and a 112% Increase YoY. Best Buy, one of the popular online retailer in the U.S has put up the New Nexus 7 for pre-order at $229.99 and $269.99 for the 16GB and 32GB variants. Unboxing images and video of the device surfaced earlier today, now the images and the complete specifications of the tablet has been revealed in the official listing. It has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 10-finger capacitive touch screen IPS display with 178 degrees viewing angles at 320 ppi pixel density and scratch-resistant glass, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. The device also has a LED notification light below the display and has soft matte finish on the back. The Droid Mini is the a compact phone with a 4.3-inch HD edge-to-edge display and wireless charging capabilities, the Droid Ultra has a 5-inch HD display is is just 7.18mm thick. The Droid Maxx also has a 5-inch HD screen and packs a 3500 mAh battery that offers up to two days of battery life on a single charge. These are powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2. All these are made with DuPont Kevlar fiber unibody design and has non-removable battery.

Google is going to announced the New Nexus 7 officially later today. We had already seen several leaks of the device, now Android Police has posted the unboxing images and video and benchmarks of the ASUS-made Google Nexus 7 tablet. The tablet has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 at 320 ppi pixel density, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) (build JWR66N)out of the box. It is said to have a back made of matte soft touch plastic material similar to the Nexus 10. The CPU-Z details reveal that the tablet’s codename as razor. Apple reports Q3 2013 revenues at $35.3 billion, iPhone sales touch 31.2 million

Apple has been relatively dormant in Q3 2013 and has chosen to announce only a select few products. That would explain the giant’s Q3 2013 results which show that revenues are down to $35.3 billion compared to $43.6 billion in the previous quarter. This was a fairly major fall due to the lack of any significant new product shipments.

Sony unveiled the Xperia Z Ultra, the company’s latest flagship phone last month. Now the phone is available in India from online retailer Saholic. The Xperia Z Ultra has a 6.44-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display with with X-Reality engine, powered by 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). HTC has announced the Desire 500, a mid-range Android smartphone in Taiwan. It has a 4.3-inch  (480 × 800 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) with Sense 5. It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and BSI sensor and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor. It has BlinkFeed and Video Highlight software and comes with Beats Audio support, but it lacks BoomSound that was present in the Desire 600.
