Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom leaked, Samsung hasn’t given up on the Galaxy Zoom series

When Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom last year, a lot of folks were confused if it was a camera or a smartphone – apparently, it was both. Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, getting its moniker from the then company flagship, was expected to come with the top of the line specs, but it wasn’t true then. Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom was modest in terms of specifications and came with a 16MP camera on its back along with a 10x optical zoom. The device looked more like a camera than a smartphone.

The device wasn’t very popular among the buyers, but it looks like Samsung hasn’t given up already. According to a GFXBench result, supposed Galaxy S5 Zoom was spotted in the benchmarks. According to the benchmarks, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom comes with a 4.8inch 720p HD display(remember Samsung Galaxy S3?), 1.3 GHz Exynos 5 Hexa processor, 2GB RAM and ARM Mali T-624 GPU. There will be a microSD card slot as it was in the Galaxy S4 Zoom. There will also be a 2MP front camera and the Galaxy S5 Zoom will be able to capture 1080p Full HD videos from both the cameras.

In terms of camera features, Samsung has updated the Megapixel count from 16MP to 19MP, but the optical zoom is still a mystery. The Galaxy S4 Zoom was announced and launched towards the end of Q2, 2013 and we can expect its successor Galaxy S5 Zoom during the same period in 2014.
