LeEco (formerly known as Letv) today announced that it sold 70,000 Le 1s smartphones in just 2 seconds in the first flash sale at 12 noon on Flipkart. The company said that this is a new record in India. Yesterday Flipkart announced that it received over 5,30,000 lakh registrations for the smartphone within 10 days after registration opened. Honor, Huawei’s Smartphone e-brand today announced that it has started selling it’s latest Honor 5X smartphone in India. “Since the start of sales on Flipkart and Amazon, at 12 a.m. on February 1, Honor 5X smartphone has witnessed strong demand, like its predecessor the Honor 4X. Honor 4X units were sold out within a minute of the flash sale, and the model sold over 10 million units globally,” said the company. Global tablet shipments decline 10.1% in 2015, only 65.9 million units shipped in Q4 2015: Report

Worldwide tablet market declined yet again in the fourth quarter of 2015 with 65.9 million units shipped, down 13.7% year over year, according to latest report from the International Data Corporation (IDC).This is the fifth straight quarter where tablets have reported a decrease year over year. In Q3, 2015 tablet shipment had declined by 12.6%

OPPO launched the F1, its first selfie-centric smartphone in the new ‘F series’ for Rs. 15,990 last week. We already brought you the unboxing and photo gallery of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks.  It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 64-bit processor (Even though CPU-Z shows it has Snapdragon 615) that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.50 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores are clocked at 1.21 GHz per core. It has Adreno 405 GPU clocked at 550 MHz, 3GB RAM, 5-inch HD screen and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Color OS 2.1 . Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.

Jet Airways has announced that it will soon introduce a WiFi based in-flight streaming service for passengers. The domestic carrier will bring streaming of movies, TV programmes, a wide genre of music, interactive games, and children’s programmes directly to wi-fi enabled personal devices such as smartphones, tablets and personal laptops of the passengers.

Intex Aqua Young comes with Truecaller integration, replaces native dialer with Truedialer

Truecaller is the popular phone directory app that allows users to identify unknown numbers, block unwanted calls, and search contact information among people and businesses. The company announced in October last year that it has crossed 100 million users in India. Truecaller has been focusing on tier II and III markets in India. In December Intex teamed up with Truecaller to integrate its service along with the Truedialer app on its Aqua Young smartphone.

The Vibe X3 packs a 3500mAh Lithium-Polymer built-in battery, slightly larger than the 3300mAh battery on the K4 Note.
