Cortana, the AI- based digital voice assistant from Microsoft, is no longer available on both Android and iOS. The company had earlier revealed plans in July, 2020 to remove the standalone Cortana app from these platforms, and along with it, they have also ended support for third-party Cortana skills.

Microsoft today announced that Cortana is adding new home automation skills, new smart home devices, such as the Ecobee, Honeywell Lyric, and LIFX. And it also now works with IFTTT. Microsoft and Amazon has partnered to integrate Alexa and Cortana digital assistants. Available later this year, this collaboration will allow you to access Alexa via Cortana on Windows 10 PCs, followed by Android and iOS in the future. In return Cortana will be available on Alexa-enabled devices like the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot and Echo Show. Microsoft’s Cortana will be released for Android and iOS platforms as a standalone app, according to a report from Reuters. Cortana was released first on Windows Phone last year with the Windows Phone 8.1 update. Several apps had received support for Cortana since the release.
