Vivo has launched Y12, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the ‘Y Series’ in India. It packs a 6.35-inch Halo FullView Display with a 19.3:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 89%, Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22 12nm SoC with up to 4GB of RAM, runs Android Pie with Funtouch OS, Ultra Game Mode, has a 13-megapixel Main Camera, 8-megapixel 120° Super Wide-Angle Camera, and 2-megapixel Depth Camera, and a 16-megapixel front camera.

Paytm confirms it will not be charging convenience or transaction fee from users

US Government allows HUAWEI to do business with US suppliers again

Earlier last month, Google announced that it has suspended some of its business operations with HUAWEI which includes a ban on using Google Services and Play Store and later, there were also reports of HUAWEI working on building its own Oak OS. After almost a month, today, the Trump Government announced that the US companies can now start selling to HUAWEI and this announcement was made at the G20 summit.

ASUS launched its flagship ASUS 6z(Zenfone 6) smartphone last week in India. POCO F1 Android Q based MIUI testing might start soon

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched the POCO F1 smartphone in India back in August 2018 running MIUI 9.6 Global Stable on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo). EMUI 9.1 released for HUAWEI Mate 20 Series, to be available for other devices soon

Xiaomi confirms Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A Android Pie update plans

Update 4: June 28, 2019 —  Looks like Xiaomi has changed its mind. After saying that it doesn’t have plans to provide Android Pie update plans few months back, Xiaomi now says that it is looking for testers for global stable ROM for Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A smartphones, since it will end beta updates for all phones from July. However, it is yet to roll out pie update for the Redmi S2/Y2 as it had promised to roll out the update around June.

Airtel strengthen 4G network with LTE 900 technology as 3G network shuts down in Kolkata

Airtel today announced that it has shutdown its 3G network in Kolkata, and only 4G network will be available in the city. It has refarmed the 900 MHz band spectrum being used for 3G to further strengthen its 4G network, which will be rolled out across the country in phased manner. It has deployed state-of-the-art L900 technology in the 900 MHz band to complement its 4G services in the 2300 Mhz and 1800 Mhz bands.
