Xiaomi opens Android Pie Global Beta testing registration for Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 6 Pro and Redmi S2

Update – February 20, 2019: Xiaomi has opened registrations for global beta testing of Android Pie for Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 6 Pro and Redmi S2 (Y2) smartphones on its forum. Registration is open till March 15th (Beijing Time) and ROM will roll out staring March 19th so we can expect open beta starting March-end or early April.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 India launch event entry registrations open again, attendees get special gift voucher worth Rs. 1500

Last week Xiaomi confirmed that it will launch the  Redmi Note 7 smartphone in India on February 28th, even Flipkart has started teasing the phone. It opened registrations to buy tickets for the event on the same day, but it sold out quickly. Today it has opened the 2nd round of registrations on mi.com. The ticket costs Rs. 480, and the company says that it will offer goodies worth Rs. 1500 for all the attendees.

Meizu Note 9 with 6.2-inch FHD+ display, 48MP rear camera, Android Pie to be announced on March 6

After the phone got certified by TENAA earlier this month, Meizu has confirmed that it will introduced the Meizu Note 9 smartphone at an Beijing on March 6th. Earlier leaks revealed 6.2-inch FHD+ water-drop notch screen, Android 9.0 (Pie), 2GHz SoC (likely Snapdragon 675), 48-megapixel rear camera, along with a 5-megapixel camera for portrait shots. It also has  a 20-megapixel front camera and a 4000mAh battery.

OnePlus partners with Finnish carrier Elisa to launch 5G device in Q2 2019

At the Qualcomm Snapdragon Technology Summit 2018 OnePlus announced that its next flagship will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform and the company will release a commercial 5G smartphone with carrier network EE in the UK in 2019. Earlier this week it announced that it will showcase its first 5G prototype smartphone at MWC 2019 next week. Today the company has announced a partnership with leading Finnish telecommunications network carrier Elisa to launch a 5G device during the second quarter this year, making it among the first 5G devices in the Finnish market.
