ZTE’s nubia brand today announced that it will introduce its flagship Z20 smartphone at an event in China, Beijing on August 8th. The invite doesn’t say anything other than mentioning it as the annual flagship device, and the image shows a camera lens. We don’t know any other details about the successor of last year’s Nubia Z18, but the company recently shared couple of samples shot on the Z20.
Nubia said that the images are of Milky Way in the Southern Hemisphere., and added that it is the first time a mobile phone is capable of capturing Milky Way with this detail. Both the images are of 12MP resolution, so the phone could feature a 48MP camera offering 12MP output. The second image could hint at the loss-less or even hybrid zoom feature.
We can expect the phone to be powered by Snapdragon 855 or even the latest 855 Plus and pack at least 8GB of RAM. We should know more details in the coming days.
