LG has officially launched the LG Optimus L3 II Dual (E435) and the Optimus L7 II Dual (P715), dual SIM Android smartphones in India. Both these were priced on the official LG India website last weeks, and went on sale online few days back. LG unveiled theOptimus L Series II devices at the MWC 2013 in February.  These phones use the LG L Style design that has Seamless Layout with minimalistic contours and graceful edges, Laser Cut Contour for elite craftsmanship with elite laser-etched details and Radiant Rear Design with pebble-like accents. Both these run on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and have dual SIM support with a dedicated SIM switch button. Gaudi Bruno or Bruno the brown bear is an interactive and narrative story book app for iPad. It is developed by Tales Factory, Italian digital publishing house who creates children’s stories. This tells the story of Bruno and his adventures in an interesting and interactive way. There are three different languages, English, Italian and Spanish to select from. Micromax unveiled the A116 Canvas HD, the company’s latest flagship back in January. It was originally priced at Rs. 13990, but they increased the price of the device to Rs. 14,499 few weeks back. We even saw the phone in a new packing, and a matt finish rather than the glossy finish. According to some alleged shots from a Twitter user MMXNewscaster, Micromax is working on the A115 Canvas 3D, which is in the final stage of development. Samsung Galaxy Y Plus and Galaxy Young now available in India for Rs. 6290 and Rs. 8290


The Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus went on sale in India for Rs. 22,900 couple of weeks back, now Samsung’s new budget phones, the Galaxy Y Plus and the Galaxy Young are on sale in India from online retailers Snapdeal and Flipkart. The Samsung Galaxy Y Plus (GT-S5303) surfaced on Samsung India’s website last month. It has a 2.8-inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 850 MHz  processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).  The Samsung Galaxy Young (GT-S6312) was announced back in February, and we also brought you hands-on images of the device from the MWC 2013. It has a 3.27-inch ( 480 × 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Both these phones have dual SIM support with dual SIM Always On feature. DoT asks Vodafone and Idea to stop 3G Intra-circle roaming


The Department of Telecom (DoT) have asked Vodafone India and Idea Cellular to stop 3G services outside their licensed zones in 3 days, according to a recent report by Economic Times. DoT has also asked these companies to pay Rs. 550 and Rs. 300 crore, respectively for violating licence norms. DoT had asked Bharti Airtel to stop 3G services in 7 circles last month and asked them to pay Rs. 350 crore (Rs. 50 crore per circle) for illegal roaming pact. Later Delhi High Court temporarily stalled the execution of DoT’s order until the final hearing, after Airtel appealed against it. Nokia Catwalk rumored specs leak out, to be launched in June

There has never been a time when products gets announced without leaking out in the open several months before launch. One can attribute that to every high profile product ever released, especially in Smartphones. Likewise, after just seeing the Lumia 928 in pictures, we have now gotten some information of the Nokia “Catwalk” which we think, according to the leak, is a global version of the Lumia 928, but made of aluminium and sans the Xenon flash. This information comes via @flavio, a person on Twitter who once leaked details of the Nokia EOS.

First press image of the Nokia Lumia 928 for Verizon USA has surfaced online. The Nokia Lumia 928, a Lumia 920 variant have been rumored for few months under the codename Laser, and the image from evleaks confirms its existence. As you can see in the leaked image, it has a Xenon Flash, which is first for a Lumia device. It also has an LED flash on the back similar to the Nokia 808 PureView.

It has a 4.5inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD capacitive touch screen display and has a 1GHz dual-core  processor similar to the Iris 454 that was launched earlier this year for Rs. 8,499, but this runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) instead of ICS. It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Huawei Ascend Y300 and Ascend G510 now available in India for Rs. 7980 and Rs. 10990


Huawei Ascend Y300 and the Huawei Ascend G510 went on pre-order in India earlier this week. Both these phones are now available from online retailer Flipkart. The Ascend Y300 has a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 processor. The Ascend  G510 has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 processor. Both these phones run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), have a 5-megapixel auto focus camera with LED Flash and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. The Micromax A91 Ninja, a new dual SIM Android smartphone is now on sale from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP auto focus rear camera and a 0.3 MP (VGA) front-facing camera. This has a TFT LCD display instead of Super AMOLED display in the A90S that was launched last year, but the display resolution and that battery are slightly better. Most of the features are similar to the Karbonn A12 that was launched earlier this year. Nokia Lumia 520 available at retail stores starting from April 6th for Rs. 10499

Nokia India has announced that the Lumia 520 would go on sale from retail stores across India starting from tomorrow, April 6th 2013 for Rs. 10,499. It went up on pre order last week and went on sale online earlier this week. Nokia already announced at the Lumia 520 launch event last month that the phone would come with 1 GB of free 3G data from Reliance per month for 2 months. Now they have announced the phone would come with unlimited access to Facebook and WhatsApp for two months for new and existing Reliance Comm (GSM) subscribers. HTC has announced the Desire Q, a new Android smartphone in Taiwan. It has a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processo and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with Sense UI on top. It has a 5 MP auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash and comes with Beats audio support. HTC unveiled the Desire P, a mid-range Android smartphone in Taiwan earlier this week. The design of the phone looks more like the Desire X, but the features are similar to the Desire U that was launched in Taiwan earlier this year. BlackBerry 10 R-Series QWERTY phone image surface

New image of the R-Series QWERTY budget BlackBerry 10 phone has surfaced online. The keyboard looks similar to the one on the Facebook Phone HTC ChaCha. We have already seen the BlackBerry L-Series phone, the BlackBerry Z10 and the N-Series phone, the BlackBerry Q10.  It is code-named Rainier and is expected to be released in the R-Series later this year. The Indian smartphone market has recently been seeing an influx of a lot of devices which are big on the screen and specs, while at the same time small on the budget, catering to the exact demand of the market since the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy Note. The phablet, as the term goes, means a device is bigger than a phone but smaller than the tablet, fitting right in the middle. This is purely a notion marketed by Samsung with the Galaxy Note, and it has caught up like wildfire among the various entrants in the Indian Smartphone market.

And two of the devices that are a by product of this phablet movement are the Micromax A116 Canvas HD and Samsung’s own Galaxy Grand Duos.
