Nokia 6700 Classic and Nokia 6303 Classic launched in India by Bollywood Diva Priyanka Chopra

Nokia India today launched the Nokia 6700 Classic and Nokia 6303 Classic .  Bollywood Diva Priyanka Chopra is seen holding the new handsets in the above picture.
These phones along with 2700 were announced in this Feb . The price of the phones seem a bit cheaper than expected.

Giving details of the new devices, Mr Taneja said, “The new devices combine the superior functionality and enhanced user experience with premium designs and materials available at an extremely competitive price point. The Nokia 6700 Classic shares the same ‘DNA’ as its predecessor Nokia 6300 and we believe that it will be one of our best selling devices in 2009.”

LG announces 3 affordable phones GB210 , GB270 and KP265

The battle for supremacy in the entry level mobile phone market seems to get better day by day.
LG Mobiles has announced the GB210, GB270 and KP275 in a price range of Rs.4400 to 5000. All the handsets promise impressive talktime of about 10 hours. Other interesting features include RocketTalk which is a social networking application which lets you log onto Google Talk , Yahoo Messenger and exchange info with your online buddies.

Nokia N97 Widgets on the Home Screen

Nokia N97 is a cool looking phone for sure. One of the unique features of the N97 is the Widgets on the Home Screen of the device and the ability to hide them with just a swipe when you think someone’s spying on your phone’s display.

For example , see the widgets above . I’m checking amazon for hot products, reading my facebook updates, checking how the world economy is doing with the help of the bloomberg widget and also trying to check the weather around GooglePlex . Now suddenly my boss comes over and before he gets the slightest doubt about my vacation plans, I hide all my widgets and show him an empty screen.

Rumor: Nokia to launch new handset lineup C series

The Nokia netbook rumors have started flowing in again . This time in a different fashion. A finnish website points to a recent trademark application by Nokia which hints at a new handset lineup called C Series . We have had N Series and E Series so far and the Enterprise series of phones beat the multimedia lineup in terms of sales for the first time this quarter. Nokia has been pushing many of its high end devices as Mobile Computers and if the C series rumor is true then we might see real computers being offered by Nokia.

Nokia N86 8MP Coming to the USA with a price tag of $558

After the worldwide launch of the Nokia N86 8MP – the first 8 megapixel from Nokia is going to be available in USA soon.This handset has won the award for the best imaging phone award for 2009 from TIPA

HTC Hero Unboxing Pictures and Video

The folks over at Android Community have managed to get their hands on the HTC Hero Android Phone which features the HTC Sense Technology . It’s also the first android phone to support Adobe Flash out of the box ! The Hero is runs the cupcake 1.5 version of the Android OS but it’s got a customized UI.

Samsung Mobiles aiming for 20 percent market share in India , bringing 7 new models

Samsung which is very much a household brand name in Asia is striving hard to increase its market share in India according to a PTI report. Samsung Mobiles which was once having a very minor share of the handset market in India now has a share of about 10-15% according to country head of Samsung India , Sunil Dutt. Its interesting to note that Sunil was part of the top brass in Nokia India a couple of years back. Good news for Samsung fans, the company plans to launch over 7 new models in India in July and August including the hugely awaited Omnia HD

The company has a lot of handsets in the low end segment but in the high-end there was nothing impressive so far. Looks like it wants to change this myth

Blackberry Storm Preview

The Blackberry Storm just arrived in our test labs today. The BB 9500 a.ka. Storm is the first ever full touchscreen Blackberry device.

No QWERTY keyboard like the other blackberries but it’s got SurePress technology so that you can use the screen alone. The display is gorgeous and we are drooling at it already.

Since we have got a lot of requests from users to review Blackberry phones you can expect to see lots of posts on the 9500 Storm and 8900 Javelin. Here is a short preview of the Storm.

Windows Mobile Marketplace to support WM 6.1, 6.5

We were a bit upset about Windows Mobile Marketplace  ( The App Store for Windows Mobile Phones) not supporting WM 6.1 which is the most popular Windows Mobile OS today, but some good news – Microsoft will  offer support for WM6.1 phones in marketplace towards end of the year. Meanwhile WinMo 6.5 Devices are expected to hit the market in September according to Microsoft which is holding the Worldwide Partner Conference at New Orleans ,USA .

Teenage Girl Falls into Open Manhole While Messaging

According to CBS 2 News a Teenage Girl met with a rather weird accident . She fell into a Open Manhole when she was messaging while walking on the road.  There were no warning signs on the road according to the victim Alexa Longueira from New York City , USA. If its the state of affairs in USA , thinking about India. This incident comes as a wake-up call to Teenagers in India and SMS Addicts !
