Samsung launched the first solar powered mobile phone, the Solar Guru E1107. The highlighting feature of this phone is, it enables dual charging. The phone has photovoltaic panel at the back, which helps to charge the battery with sun light. Since the battery can be charged anywhere using the solar energy, the users don’t have to worry when the phone battery is running out of charge.

Solar Guru’s special Features:

  • The Samsung Solar Guru solves the problem of unavailable or unstable electric supply, particularly in far flung areas with an extended solar powered battery.
  • The phone has the capacity to provide around 5 to 10 minutes of talk time with one hour of solar charging. The battery will attain full power with about 40 hours of solar charging.
  • The phone offers Mobile Tracker, a feature in which it automatically alerts when the SIM card is changed or sends out an SOS message in an emergency. If you loose your handset, you can easily tract it back with this feature.
  • Its integrated FM Radio allows up to maximum 5-minute duration live recording from FM radio.
