Huawei introduces EMUI 10 based on Android Q, beta roll out begins in September

HUAWEI just announced EMUI 10, the new major UI refresh based on Android 10 (Q) for HUAWEI and HONOR devices at the HUAWEI Developer’s Congress (HDC) 2019 today in China. EMUI 10 will bring over 60% improvements in GPU Turbo, over 70% improvements in Turbo Link, and over 20% improvements in EROFS (Extendable Read-Only File System) ROM. EMUI10 brings three updates: UX design, an all-scenario ultimate experience, and a new standard of smooth operation.

HUAWEI announces HarmonyOS open source operating system for smartphones and smart devices

HUAWEI just announced HarmonyOS, the company’s own operating system for smartphones, tablets and smart IoT devices such as smart speakers, computers, smartwatches, wireless earbuds, cars and more. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Octa-Core SoC gets benchmarked, beats Apple A12 Bionic in multi-core performance

Details about the upcoming Snapdragon 865 SoC from Qualcomm surfaced back in May, later in June, another rumor said that it will  come in two versions condenamed ‘Kona’ and ‘Huracan’, one with integrated X55 5G modem and the other one without it. Now the Snapdragon 865 ‘Kona’ SoC has surfaced on Geekbench. The prototype device runs Android 10 ‘Q’ and the phone has 6GB of RAM. OPPO India launches interactive AI powered Chatbot Ollie on WhatsApp

OPPO recently launched interactive AI Powered ChatBot solution OLLIE for its customers in India. It is the first smartphone brand in India to introduce an AI powered Chatbot which is available exclusively on WhatsApp, says the company. Realme 64MP quad camera phone to launch in India before Diwali; two more quad camera phones coming this year

Realme, at its ‘Camera Innovation Event’ announced that it will launch its 64MP camera phone with quad rear cameras in India before Diwali. It also announced that quad camera is coming to realme series, realme pro series and realme X series, so the phones should be realme 5, realme 5 pro and realme X Pro, based on the teaser.

Nubia Z20 with 6.42-inch FHD+ front and 5.1-inch rear AMOLED displays, Snapdragon 855 Plus, 8GB RAM, triple rear cameras announced

ZTE’s Nubia brand just announced the Nubia Z20, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.42-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with minimal bezels and no notch since it doesn’t have a front camera, and a secondary 5.1-inch HD+ AMOLED screen that blends into the glass body. There is DC dimming, and the new AOD 2.0, supports information display with customizable text, graphics, GIF, video and more on both the screens.

Google releases final Android Q Beta 6 update with gesture navigation tweaks, stable update soon

Google released Android developer preview for Android ‘Q’ back in March, released Beta 2 in April, Android Q beta 3 in June during I/O, Beta 4 in June with final Android Q developer APIs (API level 29), the official API 29 SDK, and updated build tools for Android Studio and Beta 5 last month with improved gesture navigation and dark boot screen. Today it has released beta 6 for Pixel devices that brings further refinements to Gesture Navigation based on user feedback. Samsung Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10+ price revealed in India as pre-orders begin

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ at an event in the US few hours back. Today the company has announced that it will be available for pre-order from Samsung Online Shop, Flipkart, Amazon.in,Paytm and Tata CLiQ starting today till August 22nd and also revealed the price. It will be available from August 23rd, the same day as global consumers start getting their Note devices. Samsung Galaxy Book S with 13.3-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 8cx 7nm Compute Platform, 4G LTE announced

Along with the Galaxy Note10 series, Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Book S, mobile computing device running Windows 10 and powered by Snapdragon 8cx compute platform with 4G LTE support. It has a 13.3-inch Full HD touch display, uniquely arched frame that flows when opened and closed, the portable, premium anodized aluminum frame on the top and base and ultra-slim body measuring just 6.2mm at its thinnest point and light-weight design at just 960 grams.

These pack a 6.3-inch FHD+ and 6.8-inch Quad HD+ Curved Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Displays, feature in-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner that reads the 3D contours of user’s physical thumbprint for improved anti-spoofing and a re-designed, uni-body Bluetooth Low Energy-enabled S Pen with Air actions customizable gesture controls,  handwriting-to-text conversion to MS Word, PDF and more, Screen off memo in 5 colors and more. The S Pan has built-in Lithium-titanate battery that lasts 10 hours with a single charge, yet weighs just 3.04 grams.

HONOR Band 5 with 0.95-inch AMOLED color display, 50-meter water resistance launched in India for Rs. 2599

HUAWEI’s HONOR brand has launched the Honor Band 5 in India, after a teaser. It has a 0.95-inch AMOLED color 2.5D curved glass touch screen display with different watch faces, in addition to Home button. It comes with TruSeen 3.0  continuous heart rate tracking and is also water resistant up to 50 meters. The band has automatic activity tracking that lets you track 10 fitness activities such as running, cycling, swimming with swim stroke recognition and more.
