Redmi Note 9 with 6.53-inch FHD+ display, Helio G85, 48MP quad rear cameras, 5020mAh battery announced

Along with the global launch of Redmi Note 9 Pro the company also introduced the Redmi Note 9 for the global markets, as it had promised. It has a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection, is the first smartphone to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 12nm SoC. It features a 48-megapixel primary rear camera, 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel 2cm macro sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is also a 13-megapixel camera on the front. Redmi Note 9 Pro with 6.67-inch FHD+ Dotdisplay, Snapdragon 720G, 64MP quad rear cameras, 5020mAh battery announced for global markets

Xiaomi just announced the Redmi Note 9 Pro for the global markets. It was introduced as Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in India last month, but there is a slight change in the camera design and it has a 16-megapixel front camera. It packs a 6.67-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection, is powered by the latest Snapdragon 720G 8nm SoC, packs a 64-megapixel camera with Samsung GW1 sensor, 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide angle lens, 5-megapixel 2cm macro sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone has pro video mode, kaleidoscope feature and slow motion selfie feature. HONOR 9A with 6.3-inch 20:9 display, triple rear cameras, 5000mAh battery, HONOR 9C and HONOR 9S announced

HUAWEI’s HONOR brand has silently announced HONOR 9A, 9C and 9S smartphones in Russia. These phones have an HD+ screen. The HONOR 9A and 9S are powered by MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, while the 9C is powered by Kirin 710A SoC and also comes with a punch-hole screen. The 9A and 9C pack triple rear cameras, while the 9S comes with single camera. Nokia 1 Plus gets Android 10 Go Edition update

HMD Global has started rolling out Android 10 update for the Nokia 1 Plus  Android Go Edition phone smartphone, which makes it the 14th Nokia phone to get the update after the Nokia 8.1, Nokia 9 PureViewNokia 7.1Nokia 6.1 PlusNokia 7 PlusNokia 6.1Nokia 2.2, Nokia 7.2Nokia 3.2Nokia 4.2Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 2.3 and Nokia 6.2. The phone was introduced at the MWC last year in India last year running Android Pie (Go Edition). This latest update brings a number of additional privacy and security features for users, as well as Dark Theme, Focus mode, dedicated ‘Privacy section’, and more. iOS 13.5 beta 3 brings COVID-19 exposure notifications, unlock the phone with passcode while wearing face mask and more

Earlier this month Apple and Google announced a joint effort to enable APIs and operating system-level technology to assist in enabling contact tracing using Bluetooth in the phones. LG Mobile losses continue in Q1 2020 despite 88% jump in overall profits; expects sales decline in Q2 due to COVID-19

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 14.73 trillion won (US$ 12.45 billion) for the fourth quarter that ended March 31, 2020, which is down 1.25% compared to the same quarter last year. It posted profits of 1.09 billion won (US$ 921.47 million), up 21% YoY, making this only the second time in history when quarterly operating profit exceeded KRW 1 trillion, while net profit was up 88% YoY to 1086.7 billion won (US$ 717 billion). The 7.4 percent operating margin was the highest in LG’s history for a first quarter. This is due to strong performance in home appliance and TV businesses. Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G phones with Dimensity 800 and Dimensity 800+ expected in May

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max smartphones in India last month, but it didn’t launch these in China. Now the company is said to be planning to launch the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G phones in China with 5G support since the company will be focusing only on 5G models for the Chinese market. Samsung’s mobile profits up 16.7% YoY in Q1 2020; expects Q2 smartphone sales to decline significantly due to COVID-19

Samsung has reported its earnings for Q1 2020 that ended March 31, 2020 in which the company has made revenue of 55.33 trillion won, a decrease of 7.6% from the previous quarter mainly due to weak seasonality for the Company’s display business and Consumer Electronics Division and partially due to effects of COVID-19. Revenue rose 5.6% YoY due to increasing demand for server and mobile components. Amazfit X smartwatch with 2.07-inch curved AMOLED screen, GPS, 50-meter water resistance announced

Huami just announced the Amazfit X smartwatch on Indiegogo as it had promised. It has a 2.07-inch 326 PPI 92° curved screen wraps comfortably around your wrist. The company says that it uses 700°C hot bending FPC-connected three-piece motherboard to achieve this so it offers more room for apps and less time spent scrolling. The watch has customized watch faces that tracks your steps and measures your heart rate and has 40+ widgets.

Mi Note 10 Lite with 6.47-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, quad rear cameras to be announced on April 30 alongside Redmi Note 9

Xiaomi recently confirmed that it will introduce Redmi Note 9 smartphone in a global event online on April 30. Today the company has confirmed that it will also introduce Mi Note 10 Lite alongside. This was certified by the FCC with the model number M2002F4LG few months back and the phone has also been certified by BIS in India with the model number M2002F4LI, so we can expect it to launch in India as well.
