Lenovo has launched the Vibe Z2 Pro, the company’s latest high-end smartphone in India. It was announced back in August, before the the Vibe Z2 was unveiled at the IFA. It packs a 6-inch ( 2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display with ultra narrow bezels, powered 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 (8974AC) processor with Adreno 330 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Vibe UI 2.0. Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Grand Prime, the company’s latest selfie-centric smartphone in India, as expected. It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with  85 degree wide-angle lens, which is the main highlight of the smartphone. It has a  5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and has Dual SIM support and a 8-megapixel rear camera. Google introduced three Android One smartphones – Spice Dream UNO Mi-498, Micromax Canvas A1 and Karbonn Sparkle V earlier this month. All these have the same specifications and vary only in design. Since all these have a the same 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with single LED flash, f/2.8 aperture, 1080p video recording and a 2-megapixel fixed-focus front-facing camera with 720p video recording, we decided to post the camera samples of these smartphones together. Microsoft has sent out invites for an event on October 1st, tomorrow for a press event in India. The invite doesn’t reveal anything, but the Lumia 830, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone and the Lumia 730 Dual SIM, its first selfie-centric smartphone are expected to launch tomorrow in India. Xiaomi has sold 60,000 units of Remi 1S smartphones in 13.9 seconds in the fifth flash sale in India today. The fifth sale took more time compared to previous Redmi 1S sales. The company has announced that the next flash sale for the Redmi 1S would happen only on October 14th, and not on October 7th. Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to launch in China on October 17

Apple today announced that the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus would launch in China on October 17th. Last week Apple revealed that it has sold record-breaking 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models in just three days after the launch on September 19th. Both these smartphones went on sale in 9 countries on September 19th and went on sale in 20 countries last week, September 26th. Motorola FM Radio updated with Bluetooth listening, notification and lock screen controls

Motorola has updated its FM Radio app to version 01.10.0060 that brings support for Bluetooth listening when your Motorola smartphone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or a speaker. Since Motorola smartphones doesn’t come with an internal antenna for FM, your headset acts as the antenna for FM, so it must be plugged in even if you are listening to FM via Bluetooth. Once paired, you can press the cast button to play FM over Bluetooth.

The LG L Bello (D335) with dual SIM support has been listed on the official LG India website. Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (SM-G530H), the company’s selfie-focused smartphone surfaced earlier this month. The smartphone has not gone official yet, now Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom reports that the phone would be priced at Rs. 15,250 in India and would go on sale later this week. The MRP of the device would be Rs. 16,000. The main highlight of the smartphone would be the 5-megapixel front-facing camera.  It has support for 14 Indian languages and dual SIM support. It was announced recently as Honor Tablet and packs a 8-inch HD IPS display with 72% screen-to-body ratio, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Emotion UI 1.6 on top. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 3G support via SIM card slot and has voice calling capabilities. It was announced in China back in June and has a 5-inch 1080p display, powered by a Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 920 SoC and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Emotion UI 2.3 on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony sensor, LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

It has the same 4.5-inch FWVA display, similar to the CTRL V4 that was launched last year, but this has a faster 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and has 1GB RAM. Sony Xperia Z3 Benchmarks

Sony launched the Xperia Z3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India last week. We already brought you the review of the Xperia Z3, here we have the benchmarks. . It is powered by quad-core Snapdragon 801 (MSM 8274AC) 28nm HPm Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.46 GHz power core and has Adreno 330 GPU. It has a 5-inch full HD display and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). We had already seen several smartphones with this SoC. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.
