Motorola introduced the Moto 360 smartwatch in the US last month. At the launch event in India, the company said that it would launch the smartwatch on Flipkart late September. It launched the new Moto X in India last week, but it did not reveal the price or the launch date for the Moto 360 smartwatch. Now it has been priced on Flipkart for Rs. 17,999. Google announced the Android One program back in June at the Google I/O to provide low-cost Android smartphones running on stock Android, with software updates handled by Google. It also released a reference hardware and announced Micromax, Karbonn and Spice as the first members of the program. Asus has announced that it has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update for the ZenFone 4 (A400CG), ZenFone 5 (A500/A501CG) and ZenFone 6 (A600/A601CG) smartphones. In India the update is now rolling out for the Zenfone 4 (A400CG) smartphone. The Zenfone 4 (A450CG) that went on sale in India recently runs on Android KitKat out of the box. The KitKat update the entire Zenfone series is available in China, Taiwan and other countries. It brings call blocking, video effects or filters, full dual standby with two SIM cards (dual SIM models only) and a special Do Not Disturb mode. Alcatel OneTouch has launched the Alcatel Onetouch Fire C smartphone running Firefox OS in India. It was introduced earlier this year at the MWC and packs a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, powered by a 1GHz processor and a 1.3-megapixel rear camera. It has 2G (EDGE) connectivity and Dual SIM support. Yota Devices would launch the YotaPhone in India exclusively on Flipkart. This was revealed in the newsletter sent to the Flipkart’s affiliate partners. The smartphone was listed on the official website last month, as noted by MakTechBlog, but it was pulled later.
