Lenovo has announced ThinkPad X1, a modular tablet at the CES. This tablet lets you add a presenter module that includes a pico projector and HDMI port, ThinkPad keyboard, including trackpoint, which can snap onto the tablet, additional battery and even a 3D imaging module with its rear-facing Intel RealSense camera. The tablet packs a 12-inch (2160×1440 pixels) display, Intel Core m7 Processor and even has optional 4G LTE-A support. It also has a built-in kick stand like the Microsoft Surface tablets. It has a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) HD display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has an 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has single SIM support and has 3G connectivity. Samsung’s 12 inch Windows 10 tablet gets Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi certification

Earlier in August, it was touted that Samsung is working on a Windows powered 12 inch tablet. Now, the tablet with a model number SM-W700 has received Bluetooth SIG and the Wi-Fi Alliance.

LG has introduced G Pad II 8.3 LTE, it’s latest tablet in Korea. It packs a 8.3-inch (1920 x 1200) WUXGA display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 processor and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera without flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Asus ZenPad C 7.0 with 7-inch display, 3G goes on sale in India starting from Rs. 7999

Asus launched the ZenPad 8.0 and ZenPad 7.0 at the Zenfestival in India back in August. The ZenPad 7.0 went on sale in the country for Rs. 11,999 back in October, and the ZenPad 8.0 went on sale last month for Rs. 14,999 . Now the ZenPad C 7.0 variants are available from Flipkart and Snapdeal. These have a 7-inch display with 71% screen-to-body ratio, AGC Glass with 20nm Anti-Finger Coating, 10 finger multi-touch, upto 170 degree viewing angle, powered by a quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom x3-C3230 / MediaTek MT8382 processor and run on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Zen UI. NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet X1 with Tegra X1 SoC, 3GB RAM surfaces in benchmarks

NVIDIA introduced the SHIELD tablet K1 last week at a cheaper price of $199. Now the SHIELD tablet X1 has surfaced in GFXBench benchmarks revealing a similar 8-inch Full HD display, but this will be powered by the latest NVIDIA Tegra X1 Octa-Core (4x ARM Cortex A57 + 4x ARM Cortex A53) 20nm processor with 256-core Maxwell GPU. Xiaomi recently scheduled an event on November 24th, to introduce a new product. Lin Bin, co-founder and President of Xiaomi already said that more than one product will launch at the event. He posted a teaser image of the Redmi Note 2 Pro smartphone in Golden color recently, few hours back he posted an image of a tablet on weibo, which is likely to be the upcoming MiPad 2. NVIDIA introduced SHIELD tablet last year starting at $299, but it went out of stock on NVIDIA ‘s website shortly after the company recalled some units in late July this year for posing a fire hazard due to overheating batteries. Today it has released an updated version of the tablet as SHIELD tablet K1 with minor changes that includes, silicon grips that will make it easier to hold and of course a new battery, just in time for the holidays.
