Xiaomi today announced Mi Pad 2, successor of last year’s Mi Pad at an event in China, as it promised, along with the Redmi Note 3. It has the same 7.9-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display at 326 ppi as the first Mi Pad, but the NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor has been replaced by a quad-core Intel Atom X5-Z8500. Xiaomi recently scheduled an event on November 24th, to introduce a new product. Lin Bin, co-founder and President of Xiaomi already said that more than one product will launch at the event. He posted a teaser image of the Redmi Note 2 Pro smartphone in Golden color recently, few hours back he posted an image of a tablet on weibo, which is likely to be the upcoming MiPad 2.
