New job listing suggests that Apple might be looking forward to expanding its apps and service beyond iOS and into Android territory

MediaTek Helio X30 16nm 10-core SoC, Helio X22 details surface

MediaTek introduced its Helio X and P series SoCs for high-end smartphones back in March and officially unveiled its Helio X20 deca (10) core SoC in May. Now details about the company’s upcoming Helio X30 SoC has surfaced in China (Via). We already know that the Helio X30 is based on 20nm process and has 2 x Cortex-A72 CPUs at 2.5GHz, 4 x Cortex-A53 CPUs at 2.0GHz and 4 x Cortex-A53 CPUs at 1.4GHz, but the Helio X30 will be based on 16nm FinFET process, and use 4 x Cortex-A72 CPUs at 2.5GHz , 2 x Cortex-A72 CPUs at 2GHz, 2 x Cortex-A53 CPUs at 1.0GHz and 2 x Cortex-A53 CPUs at 1.5GHz. Sony hosting an event on 2nd September during IFA week – Might announce the XPERIA Z5

Sony already announced the XPERIA C5 Ultra and the XPERIA M5 earlier today but apparently there will an event in Berlin, a few days prior to IFA which is from 4th to 9th September. So it seems that Sony might be readying another smartphone which is most likely to the the XPERIA Z5 which was teased in a James Bond promo last month.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo surfaces in online retail site

Information about the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo (SM-G903F) surfaced last month. Now the smartphone has been listed on an online store (Via) in Netherlands.  According to earlier info, the design and dimensions of the S5 Neo will be similar to the Galaxy S5, but this will be powered by a new 1.6GHz Exynos 7580 Octa-Core 64-bit  processor with Mali-T720 GPU and has a 5MP front-facing camera, instead of a 2.1MP front-facing camera in the Galaxy S5. OnePlus 2 live images surface hours before the launch

OnePlus 2 has surfaced in live images on XDA forum (Via) through a beta tester in China. This coincides with the image seen in the TENAA listing. These images show the smartphone from all the angles that includes a metal frame and removable back cover with Sandstone Black finish that has a hidden SIM tray with dual SIM support that was confirmed by the CEO recently.The battery is not removable, similar to the Moto G series of smartphones.

Lava Pixel V1, the company’s first Android One smartphone has surfaced online (via) ahead of official launch later today. According to the listing, it has a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with minimal bezels, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The debate over what sort of release mechanism the Samsung Galaxy Note 5’s S Pen will have still isn’t over. The first rumours stated that it will have a gesture based auto-eject mechanism and later it was believed to have a push to eject mechanism.
