Vertu V06 shows up in benchmarks – Snapdragon 810 and 4GB RAM on-board

While Vertu is famously known for their design and craftmanship, their handsets often run on outdated hardware and perhaps even software. While they have been trying to change that in the past few years, they still do lag behind a bit. But that is about to change if these new benchmarks have anything to say. The Vertu V06 will apparently be powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor and will also have 4GB of RAM.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 gets certified in China

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, the company’s upcoming smartphone has been certified on TENAA (via) in China. These images look similar to the image that was leaked couple of months back, but no sign of metal build that was shown off in live images . Microsoft Lumia 940 and 940 XL to feature polycarbonate bodies – Pricing higher than iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6

The Microsoft Lumia 940 and 940 XL rumours are slowly gaining traction. the last rumour was a leak that confirmed the existence of a Quad HD Windows phone which is most likely the 940 XL and a smaller 1080p smartphone which should be the 940. A new report now suggests that both the 940 XL as well as the 940 will sport polycarbonate bodies and will be priced higher than the Apple iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6.

InFocus has launched M810, the company’s latest top-end smartphone in India. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display, is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with true tone LED flash, Sony Exmor R sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a metal frame and is just 6.99mm thick. It has 4G LTE connectivity, but only has 1800MHz FDD-LTE Band 3.

Lenovo launched the K3 Note smartphone in India last month for Rs. 9,999. We recently brought you the unboxing and photo gallery of the smartphone, here we have its benchmarks. It is powered by a Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752 processor with eight ARM Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at 1.69GHz per core and has Mali-T760 MP2 GPU. It also has 2GB of RAM. The Lenovo A7000 had a under locked MT6752M CPU. It has 5.5-inch Full HD screen and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Lenovo’s own Vibe UI on top. Google Maps for iOS got updated to version 4.7 last month that brought option to send direction from Google Maps desktop to iOS devices. Google Maps for Android now has this feature in the latest update (v9.11.0), as noted by Android Police.
