Oppo has announced Oppo R7 and Oppo R7 Plus, two new smartphones in the R series. The Oppo R7 has a 5-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display and runs on Color OS 2.1 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat), while the Oppo R7 Plus features a 6-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display and runs on Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). Both these smartphones are powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU for the international variant. These have metal body and 2.5D Arc Edge screen.

The China Unicom variant of the Oppo R7 is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 Processor and the Oppo R7 Plus’s China Unicom variant has a MediaTek MT6795 Octa-Core SoC. These have a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The R7 Plus has dual LED flash, laser auto focus for capturing images quickly and a finger print sensor below the flash that lets you unlock the phone with just a touch. These have 4G LTE connectivity (Bands 1/3/5/7/8/TD-40) and dual SIM capabilities that lets you use the second nano SIM slot as a microSD slot when required.

The Oppo R7 and the Oppo R7 Plus come in Gold and Silver colors. The Oppo R7 is priced at 2499 CYN (US$ 403 / Rs. 25680 approx.) and the Oppo R7 Plus is priced at 2999 CYN (US$ 483 / Rs. 30,810 approx.) These smartphones will be available in China from jd.com starting tomorrow. It will be roll out globally starting from June.
