Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Photos NEW Design !

Samsung has managed to change the design of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 after MWC. Looks like the company was not happy to release a tablet thicker than the Apple iPad 2 to the market. So what did they do ? They felt that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 was inadequate to take on the iPad 2 and they did not stop there. They went and redesigned the whole thing so that it is only 8.6 mm thick and weighs 595g. The earlier model was 10.9mm thick and weighed 599 g. Did Samsung just surprise Apple  ? Samsung to launch 2 new Galaxy Tab Tablets at CTIA

Samsung’s head of Mobile JK Shin just announced at the Unpacked event at CTIA that the company will be launching 2 new Galaxy Tabs today . This comes as a surprise as we were expecting only one 8.9 inch tablet from the Korean handset maker.

Vodafone , Idea Top Gainers in MNP according to COAI Report

Two months after the introduction of Mobile Number Portablility (MNP), Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) has revealed the number of people ported in and out of the operators. Their report says, less than 1 % of the total subscribers have ported to other operators after MNP.

Sprint is expected to unveil some amazing Android smartphones and tablets, next week at the CTIA show. HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO View 4G, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Nexus S 4G are some of the devices, which are expected to be announced next week by Sprint. Recently, the leaked specs of HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO View 4G has been emerged. HTC EVO 3D is the company’s first 3D phone, which can record 3D videos in 720p. This handset is also said to be thinner than the LG Optimus 3D. Check out the leaked specs, after the break.

Nokia And Union Bank Launch Mobile Payment Services

Nokia India in collaboration with the Union Bank today launched a slew of mobile based banking services. Primarily aimed towards Tier 2 cities where internet banking has not achieved much growth , the mobile banking service will allow consumers to deposit and withdraw cash from select Nokia outlets in collaboration with Union Bank.

Opera to launch Opera Mini 6 and Opera Mobile 11 at CTIA 2011

Opera Software has grand plans for CTIA 2011 starting next week in DisneyLand .. err Orlando , Florida. The browser maker is going to launch the next versions of the world’s most popular mobile browsers -Opera Mini 6 and Opera Mobile 11 at the event. The company is also planning to launch a version of the browser optimized for tablets.

Acer has launched a new Android handset in India in the form of the Acer Liquid Metal. The Android 2.2 phone is powered by a Snapdragon processor and boasts of HSPA 14.4 Mbps support. It has a 5 MP Camera which also records video in 720p. The battery life promised is about 8 hours of talktime.
