Adobe Flash Player v11.1 and AIR 3.1 for Android brings performance improvements and bug fixes

Adobe Flash Player for Android has been updated to version 11.1.102.59 and the Adobe AIR gets updated to version 3.1.0.488 that brings performance improvements and bug fixes related to security and stability. Adobe announced earlier this week that they would stop the Flash Player development for the mobile phones and tablets. This might be the last update for the Android with the improvements and security bug fixes. The earlier versions of the Flash Player and AIR brought 3D game support, premium video content with protection and more. Unlocked Apple iPhone 4S now shipping from Apple Store in the US

When Apple launched the Apple iPhone 4S last month , it also announced it’s plans to sell factory unlocked versions in November which could be purchased without the need for a contract. Today , the Apple Store in the US is taking orders for the Unlocked iPhone 4S which starts at US$ 649 for the 16GB , $749 for the 32GB and $849 for the 64GB. Just a reminder that most states in the US charge a sales tax so the final price at the time of check out might be slightly higher. Airtel launching iPhone 4S in India soon

Like Aircel , Airtel India has also announced on it’s Facebook page about it’s plans to launch the Apple iPhone 4S in India soon. As of now only Airtel and Aircel are the official operators authorized by Apple to sell the iPhone 4 in India. So this news is not very surprising. But then for those of you who have been waiting for the iPhone 4S to launch in India, good news ! We are not sure if Apple will get the pricing right though !

Aircel launching the Apple iPhone 4S soon in India

Aircel India just announced on it’s official Facebook page earlier today that it is bringing the Apple iPhone 4S to India soon. The company would be sharing more details about the launch soon. There are no details about the pricing or the plans but expect it to be similar to the iPhone 4 Pricing with a slight premium. The price of Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S has been revealed for India. The Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S is the sucessor of the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc and it is powered by a 1.4Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It comes with a 4.2-inch Reality display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and 8 MP auto focus camera with Exmor R image sensor, LED flash and 720p HD video recording. It was announced in September. Motorola RAZR Price Revealed for India

Motorola RAZR gets a price tag in India. Online retailer Flipkart has listed the phone with a price but these is no exact launch date. The Motorola RAZR is the thinnest smartphone till date with 7.1 mm thickness, which is about 1.5mm slimmer than the previous slimmest smartphone the Samsung Galaxy S2. It it is made with KEVLAR fiber and features 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) Super AMOLED hyper-vibrant display and it is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core processor. It runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3.5. Samsung Illusion for Verizon leaked specs emerge

The detailed specs of Samsung Illusion has leaked out from the Verizon Infocenter and the guys from the androidcentral has got hold of the specs page. This is expected to be entry-level handset that looks like Nexus S with the capacitive touch buttons, rounded edges and a textured back, but comes with a SD card slot and Samsung TouchWiz UI. First OTA update for iOS – 5.0.1 now rolling out to iPhone , iPad and iPod Touch

Looks like Apple finally has an answer for the battery issue surrounding the iPhone 4S. Apple has released the first Over-the-Air update for all iOS devices running on iOs 5 such as the iPhone 3GS, 4 , 4S, iPad , iPad2 , iPod Touch ( 3rd gen and 4th Gen). The update is available Over-the-air meaning you won’t have to download a 700 odd MB file and use iTunes to update your device. In fact I have managed to update 2 iPhones and an iPod touch in a matter of minutes as the OTA update was just 44.6 MB for my iPhone.It would have taken to few hours or days required to download few GBs of files normally. The mysterious story of the Apple iPhone 4S not working in India

If you are one amongst consumers who had purchased the iPhone 4S from outside India and were facing issues getting it to work here , good news for you. Many users including me were seeing no signal bars on the iPhone 4S in India. Calls and SMS were not working.Surprisingly 3G data was working fine on most operators including Airtel , Vodafone and BSNL. I had tried using some international SIM cards such as AT&T, T-Mobile , O2 UK, 3 UK, SmarTone (HK). RIM’s BBX smartphones to come with PlayBook like display and BES support

RIM’s new BBX smartphones may come with better specs that is similar to the BlackBerry PlayBook and not look like the BlackBerry Bold says the RIM’s vice president of Developer Relations and Ecosystem Development, Alec Saunders in an interview with PC Mag. The BlackBerry BBX phones would have 16:9 aspect ratio and 1024 x 600 resolution display similar to the BlackBerry PlayBook unlike the 800 x 480 resolution displays in the recently launched BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Torch 2 smartphones. The resolution is also different from other phones that come HD resolution (1028 x 720 pixels) displays such as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, HTC Rezound and the LG Optimus LTE. RIM to continue developing Flash Player for BlackBerry PlayBook

RIM (Research in Motion) has announced that they would continue working on and releasing its own implementations of Flash Player in the future. Yesterday, Adobe announced that it is stopping development of Flash Player for mobile browsers and mobile devices and focus more on HTML5 development.
