Oppo R5 launching in India this December priced between Rs. 25000 and Rs. 30000

Oppo introduced the Oppo R5 with a stainless steel body, micro-arc frame that is just 4.85mm thick at an event in Singapore back in September. The company just announced that it will hit the stores this month and is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000. The Oppo R5 has a 5.2-inch 1080p AMOLED screen, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and runs on Color OS 2.0 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Xolo has unveiled Q900s Plus an upgraded variant of the Q900s that was introduced back in July. It has a 4.7-inch HD display compared to 4.7-inch qHD display on the Q900s and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. Other specifications are similar including a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM 8212) processor with Adreno 302 GPU, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. HTC introduced the HTC RE, a GoPro-like action camera at the Double Exposure event in the US back in October. It was launched in India few days after the US event at a price tag of Rs. 9,990. At the launch HTC said that it would be available in India early November, but the product finally went on sale in India earlier this week on Snapdeal. Xiaomi banned from importing and selling handsets in India

The Delhi High Court has given an “ex-parte”  injunction to ban Xiaomi from importing or selling phones in India, as per a latest report from SpicyIP. The Chinese smartphone maker received the order from court order for infringing on Ericsson’s Standard Essential Patents (SEPs).

YouTube for Android gets offline mode in India

Back in September at the Android One event Google announced that YouTube will get offline playback in India. Now the feature is available for YouTube for Android in India. This lets you add videos to watch it offline by selecting an icon below the video or by selecting Add to Offline from a video’s context menu. Once added, an available offline icon will be displayed below the video. There is a separate playlist called Offline, to view all the videos that are saved offline.
