It has a 5-inch qHD display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), similar to the Infinium Z50 Quad that was launched last month. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor R sensor, LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Motorola has launched the Motorola Moto X (2nd Gen) 32GB variant in India, as it promised. The 16GB variant that was launched back in September for Rs. 31,999 has received a price cut and is available for Rs. 29,999. The wood and leather back variants are now available for Rs. 31,999. The Moto X (2nd Gen) has a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Vodafone offers free Wi-Fi in Delhi’s Khan Market area for its own and other users

Vodafone has announced that it has started offering free Wi-Fi connectivity in Delhi’s Khan Market area for both Vodafone and Non-Vodafone subscribers. This covers most frequented hotspots like ROUTE 04, SOY, Choko La, Big Chill, Pure Punjab, Chonas, Town Hall and Khan Chacha. Last year Airtel partnered with Google to launch Free Zone to access some Google Apps for free. I experienced a similar free WiFi service at Hyderabad Airport powered by Tata Docomo. Ola launches Auto service in Chennai

Ola, popular for its Ola Cabs has launched auto service in Chennai. It now lets you book autos straight from your smartphone using the same Ola app that you use to book cabs. The Ola auto service was first introduced in Bangalore in pilot basis last month. The service is also available in Pune. Huawei to launch 4G smartphones under Rs. 10000 in India by mid-2015

Huawei plans to launch new smartphones with 4G LTE support under Rs. 10,000 in the Indian market within the next six months, according to a report from PTI (via TOI). Airtel already offers TDD-LTE services in some cities. Reliance Jio plans to provide LTE by mid-2015 through an integrated ecosystem since it owns both 1800 MHz FDD-LTE  and on 2300 MHz TDD-LTE spectrum. Micromax’s YU just launched YUREKA (AO5510), the company’s first YU branded smartphone as expected. It has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (4×1.5GHz + 4×1.0GHz) processor and runs on CyanogenMod OS 11 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with OTA updates every month. iBall Andi 4L PULSE, the company’s first Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone is now available from retail stores, according to Mumbai-based retailer Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom. It has a 4-inch WVGA display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor. It is not clear if the smartphone has a front-facing camera since there is no mention of it. It has 3G connectivity and Dual SIM support. Micromax and Cyanogen are all set to launch the YU smartphone tomorrow, at 11:30 A.M in New Delhi. After an extensive marketing campaign on its social media channels, the second largest Indian smartphone manufacturer is finally going to launch its new device, the only one that can run the Cyanogen OS in this country. We’ve been hearing a lot about this device ever since the word first started to spread, and there are indicators that the price is going to be disruptive for the already disrupted Indian market. As far as promotions go, the YU seems to base its complete experience around the amount of customization that the user will be able to do, one of the strong selling points of Cyanogen.
