Zync Z5 Dual SIM phone with 5-inch display, Android 4.0 now available for Rs. 9490

Zync has entered into the smartphone segment with the Zync Cloud Z5 Dual SIM Android Smartphone / Phablet. It has a 5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) Capacitive Touch Screen and is powered by a 1GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). This would compete with the other budget 5-inch Dual SIM Smartphones such as iBall Andi 5c and the latest Micromax A110. The company launched the Z-900 their first 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 back in March, and has launched several tablets since then. Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 launching in India in November

Nokia just announced today that it has begun shipping its first Windows Phone 8 devices in select markets to operators and retail outlets and it will go on sale in UK and France later this week.Russia and Germany would be getting the Lumia 920 and 820 after that.  Several other countries including India will see the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 being launched sometime in November ( no exact date or price yet). The Lumia 920 packs an awesome camera with optical image stabilization and a pure motion hd+ display apart and runs on Windows Phone 8. LG and Google announce the Nexus 4

Google had canceled the New York Android event due to Hurricane Sandy but the hurricane could not stop them from officially announcing the devices.Google and LG have finally officially unveiled the next Nexus phone which is from LG this time round -Nexus 4. The handset has been leaked multiple times and was reportedly lost in in a bar. The Nexus 4 looks  very similar to the previous Nexus devices from the front but very different in the back.The Nexus 4 was jointly designed by LG and Google. LG Nexus 4 with Nexus branding shows up

LG Mobile’s upcoming Nexus  smartphone has been doing rounds on the internet a lot. And today we have a sweet looking picture of the phone with the iconic Nexus branding on the back thanks to @evleaks. The pictures of this phone had been leaked in the past as the LG E960 but the Nexus branding was missing in those images. LG Optimus G Unboxing

Here we have a great new phone from LG for unboxing – the Optimus G which is one of the best LG phones we have ever played with till now. LG Mobile has been talking a lot about the Optimus G recently and the phone got officially announced last month. In terms of specs  the Optimus G is one of  the first to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor.It runs on a 1.5GHz quad core processor and packs 2GB of RAM.

iPhone 5 to Launch in India and Malaysia on Coming October 26?

BGR.in reports that Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 5 in India on October 26th. This isn’t the first time an October 26 launch in Asia has been mentioned. Last month,  The Malay Mail reported that the iPhone 5 would be coming to Malaysia on that date, pending stock availability. There is no concrete word about the pricing yet but multiple sources FoneArena spoke to indicate a pricing of around Rs.48500-52500 approximately for the 16GB iPhone 5. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs Apple iPhone 5 Compared on Video

Here is a comparison between the latest and greatest Android phone from Samsung and the latest and greatest iPhone from Apple. FoneArena puts the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 next to the Apple iPhone 5. Both are interesting devices. The Galaxy Note 2 has been launched in several countries including India whereas the iPhone 5 has been launched in few countries is expected to come to India soon.

S Huawei Ascend Y100 now available in India for Rs. 5990

Huawei has launched the Y100, their new entry-level Android smartphone in India in partnership with Spice, hence it called S Huawei Y100. It has a 2.8-inch (320 × 240 pixels) TFT Capacitave touch screen display and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is powered by a 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has a 3.2MP fixed-focus camera at the back. The Huawei Ascend Y100 was announced back in May for select countries. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Benchmarks – quad-core Exynos CPU and Mali-400 GPU

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 2, successor of the Galaxy Note in India last week, and we managed to get hold of the device to run some benchmarks. These benchmarks test the performance of the 1.6 GHz quad-core 4412 Exynos processor with Mali 400 GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 topped in most of the benchmarks when compared to the other quad-core devices such as Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X and the LG Optimus 4X HD. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Unboxing

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is hitting stores soon in India and here we have an exclusive unboxing of this  quad-core phone from Samsung from the Middle East thanks to our very own Sandeep who is on a vacation.The retail packaging for the Note 2 is pretty much the same across the globe. Watch the unboxing video below.The Note 2 is a pretty big phone but surprisingly it is easier to grip than the first Galaxy Note thanks some design changes.

Apple sells 5 million iPhone 5’s in just 3 days after launch , 100 million iOS devices already running iOS 6


Apple has just announced in a press release that they have just managed to sell 5 million iPhone 5’s in just the opening weekend.Although pre-ordering did start on September 14, the device did not land in the hands of consumers till September 21. The bigger number hidden in the press release is the fact that 100 million iOS device have already upgraded to iOS 6 which is the latest operating system for Apple iPhone , iPad and iPod Touch. The OS update was made available only on September 19th and it is amazing have so many devices have moved to the latest version of the operating system which is surrounded by controversy regarding the quality of maps. iOS 6 marks the first time , Apple has gotten rid of Google Maps in favor of it’s in-house mapping application

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Pre-Booking starts in India

Samsung has just started Pre-Booking for the much awaited Galaxy Note 2 on it’s India eStore. The device which is the successor to the original Note was unveiled last month at IFA Berlin along with the Galaxy Camera. The phone has a 5.5 inch display and runs Android JellyBean out of the box. Samsung is asking for Rs.5000 as an advance payment for the pre-booking which will be adjusted when the device goes on sale later this month. Apple iPhone 5 Launch Countries and Rollout

Apple will be launching the iPhone on September 21 in 9 countries – Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, the US and the UK.  Apple will begin taking pre-orders in these countries this Friday September 14. Interestingly UK, Singapore and Hong Kong are countries in which Apple sells iPhones at the full price and mostly unlocked.  If you plan to be one of the 1st to own the iPhone 5 and live outside the US, may be you should ping your friends in these 3 countries or may be take an iVacation.
