Oculus Rift to Ship in Q1 2016, pre-orders begin later this year

Oculus has just announced that the Rift will be shipping to consumers globally in the first quarter of 2016. They have also teased the product in two renders of the front and back of the device and it looks quite good.

Newer batches of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge use ISOCELL camera sensor instead of Sony sensor

Earlier today, we reported that Sony was having trouble supplying its sensors to the Chinese manufacturers due to high demand from Apple for their iPhone 6C. Apparently Chinese manufacturers aren’t the only ones affected as even Samsung has been forced to use its own sensors in place of Sony ones. This has been witnessed on the newer units of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Oppo users will get update to Android Lollipop 5.0 soon

Oppo is one of the few Chinese manufacturers that still haven’t gotten the update to Lollipop on their phones. While smaller Chinese brands have already received updates to Lollipop, Oppo is only now receiving the update along with the release of ColorOS 2.1.

Samsung Exynos M1 will be the first chipset to use custom CPU cores from the company

While Samsung, Qualcomm, Nvidia and MediaTek use ARM reference designs to make their chipsets, Apple is known for using custom cores for its chipsets. It has been rumoured for a while that Samsung are also working on their own next generation chipset with custom cores. Now it’s naming has been leaked in a document and apparently it will be called the Exynos M1.
