Xiaomi has just announced the results of Q1 2015 and that it has retained its number one spot in the Chinese market. The company holds a market share of 14% and are well ahead of some of the big international players.

According to IHS Technology, Xiaomi managed to sell a total of 99 million smartphones in Q1 2015. Second place goes to Huawei with 11% and Apple is in third place with 11% as well. Samsung gets in at 4th place with 10% market share. While Apple and Huawei are fighting it out closely and Samsung also trailing by just 1%, Xiaomi is leading the charts by a comfortable 3%. This shows you how much of an influence Xiaomi has in China.

The market share might even improve further for Xiaomi when the Mi 4i gets launched in May. The Mi 4i will go on sale in India tomorrow through Snapdeal, Flipkart and Amazon. If you haven’t seen it already, do check out our hands-on and unboxing of the Mi 4i.
