Xolo launched the Xolo B700 with a last month for Rs. 8,999. We brought you the unboxing of the device last week. Here are the benchmarks of the device. The Xolo B700 features 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) 16M color IPS display with 256 ppi pixel density, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Mediatek MT6577 processor with PowerVR SGX 531 GPU. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) similar to the Xolo A700 and A800. This has a humongous 3450 mAh battery that promises up to 23 hours talk time on 2G. Let’s get into the benchmarks.

Basemark X Benchmark Performance on Android devices

Basemark X

Rightware launched the Basemark X, a cross-platform benchmarking tool for Android, iPhone and iPad last week. While the iOS app is still waiting for the approval in the Apple iTunes Store, the Android application is out now. The Basemark X is built on gaming engine Unity 4, which is used in hundreds of mobile games. We managed to run the Basemark 1.0 on several high-end quad-core Android smartphones. Check out the Basemark X 1.0 Game Graphics Performance Test results below.

HTC launched the HTC One, the company’s latest flagship Android smartphone in India earlier this week. We brought you the unboxing of the device last month. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The HTC One has a 4.7 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It out performs all the current quad-core smartphones in all the benchmarks.

Celkon A119 Signature HD Benchmarks

Celkon launched the A119 Signature HD last month for Rs. 13,499. We brought you unboxing of the Celkon A119 earlier this week, here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Celkon A119 packs a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display at 295 PPI, powered by a dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor clocked at 1 GHz with PowerVR SGX 531 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). We reviewed the Xolo A1000 recently which has a similar processor and a HD display. Let’s see how the device performs in the benchmark tests.

Micromax A116 Canvas HD Benchmarks

Micromax A116 Canvas HD Benchmarks

Micromax unveiled the A116 Canvas HD back in January, started selling the device through online retailer Snapdeal starting from February 14th. It has 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz with PowerVR SGX544 GPU. This was the first phone to launch in India with the quad-core MediaTek processor. We reviewed the device last month, but we didn’t share complete benchmarks of the device back then. Here are the benchmark comparison with the other mid-range Android smartphones in the market .

We unboxed the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini (GT-I8190) earlier this week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Galaxy S3 mini was announced back in October 2012. It is powered by a dual-core NovaThor U8420 chip clocked at 1 GHz and has a Mali-400 GPU. It has a 4.0-inch (480×800 pixels ) Super AMOLED display at 223 ppi pixel density. Let’s see how the phone performance in the benchmark tests.

The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Broadcom BCM28155 processor based on ARM Cortex-A9 and VideoCore 4 GPU. It has a 5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display at 186 ppi pixel density. It runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).

Performance of the device is better in most of the benchmarks when compared with the other quad-core Android Smartphones.

Xolo X500 benchmarks – Intel Atom Z2420 CPU and Power VR SGX540 GPU

Xolo X500 was launched in India last week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Xolo X500 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Lexington Z2420 single-core processor with Power VR SGX540 GPU. The Xolo X900 that was launched in India last year is powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 Medfield processor, but the new CPU is aimed at low-cost Android smartphones. Even the new chip has Intel’s hyper threading technology that offers better mutitasking capabilities. Let us see how it stacks up with the other Android smartphones. HTC Butterfly Benchmarks


HTC launched the Butterfly on Japan’s KDDI network back in October 2012, released as Droid DNA in the U.S. and it was announced for global markets in December. We posted hands-on photos of the Butterfly last week, now we have benchmarks of the device. The performance is top-notch when compared to the other quad-core Android devices. The HTC Butterfly is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor Qualcomm APQ8064 processor and the Adreno 320 GPU, similar to the Optimus G and the Google Nexus 4. It out performs all the current quad-core smartphones in most of the benchmarks.

HTC One X+ Benchmarks

HTC launched the One X+ in India today. We got hands-on time with the device and we ran some benchmarks to test the performance of the device. The HTC One X+ is the upgraded version of the One X that we reviewed earlier this year. The HTC One X+ topped some benchmarks including the Quadrant Sunspider when compared to the other quad-core Android Smartphones such as One X, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3, Optimus 4X HD, Optimus G and Optimus Vu. LG Optimus G Benchmarks – quad-core Snapdragon S4 CPU and Adreno 320 GPU

LG announced the Optimus G in August, which went on sale in Korea in September. We managed to get hold of the device to run some benchmarks.The LG Optimus G was in a close competition with the Samsung Galaxy Note II in most of the benchmarks but it was a clear winner when compared to the other quad-core devices including Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X and the LG Optimus 4X HD.
