Being rumoured for a long time, and eventually leaking in every possible way, the One Mini is a secret kept even worse than that of its bigger brother, the HTC One. We’ve been playing with the Micromax Canvas 4 ever since we unboxed it, and if you had noticed our YouTube channel, we have a lot of coverage in terms of gameplay videos, gaming review, and of course the unboxing too. If one important feature that stands out, on the Canvas 4 in comparison with the Canvas HD, it’s the camera. There is a new 13 megapixel Sony sensor at the back that promises a substantial upgrade over the Canvas HD. Does it? Lets find out.

Nokia’s PureView, HTC’s UltraPixel, Samsung’s Galaxy Zoom has left Sony, LG, Apple to reconsider their smartphone cameras. The battle for the supreme smartphone camera is really heating up with LG, Apple and Sony yet to step into that territory. Sony’s next flagship has shown up in leaked images and those images suggest that Sony’s bet into smartphone camera will be this Xperia “Honami” device. We had already seen the renders and even some images of the actual device, but its specifications have now leaked out, so read on to find out what the Honami packs.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Mega 6.3 (GT-I9200), the company’s first smartphone with a 6.3-inch display back in May in India. It went on sale in India last month. We brought you the review of the Mega 5.8 earlier today. Here we have the unboxing of the Mega 6.3. The package is made of 100% recycled material and features a wood-like finish similar to the other phones such as Galaxy S4 and the S4 Zoom. This also looks better than the plain white box. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 is the first smartphone to launch in India with a dual-core Snapdragon 400 MSM8930 chip. It is clocked at 1.7 GHz and has Adreno 305 GPU. The Galaxy Mega 5.8 has a Broadcom BCM28155 processor and VideoCore 4 GPU.

Xolo has officially launche the Xolo Play T1000, the company’s first phone powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 3 CPU. It went on pre-order online earlier this month and packs a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor with 416 MHz 12 Core NVIDIA ULP GeForce GPU and runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, LED Flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Lava E-Tab Z7C+ (Connect+), successor of the E-Tab Connect tablet that was launched back in March is now available from online retailer Flipkart. It appeared online last week and comes with a 7.0-inch (800 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has a SIM card slot that offers 3G connectivity and voice calling support. The specifications are similar to the E-Tab Connect expect for the new sliver colored body.

Seemingly controlled, yet another new Moto X leak has been let loose on the Internet. This time, it’s not the Google Chariman, but the Canadian carrier Rogers. In a “Tech Talk Experts” video, Rogers shows off the black Moto X, which very much looks like the Nexus 4, but shows off rather intriguing functionality. The Moto X is always listening to your voice for commands, just like the Google glass and will let you talk to it, without touching the phone. Much like the Microsoft Kinect on the Xbox One, Google Now always keeps its ears open for a specific command, in this case – “Ok Google Now”. The saga of Whatsapp on Windows Phone has always been fueled with much hate since the app never really worked well out of the box and was always buggy. Having grown massively, Whatsapp left Windows Phone users to a sub par experience when compared with other platforms. The streaming API was hacked up and meddled with music playback and messages stopped refreshing inside the app occasionally. Annoying customers to the core, the app still has only a 3 star rating on the Windows Phone Store, but a new huge update to the app changes everything, again. Fixing all the problems that the app is known for, the company has provided the much needed huge update and looking at the early review, it seems all the major outstanding issues have been fixed.
Vine for iPhone got lot of features in an update last week. These features are now available for Vine for Android that brings new channels (up to 15 channels in the explore screen including comedy, music, nature and more with theme and Popular feed), Fast capture widget to capture something in one click directly from the home screen, Revining option (like retweet) to share other’s vines and more new features. I just got my hands on the shiny new Nokia Lumia 1020 with some brilliant camera features. The camera is a 41 Megapixel Pureview camera with Carl Zeiss optics. MTV India and Swipe Telecom has partnered once again to launch the Slash, a 7-inch device in Swipe’s Fablet series. It went on sale yesterday from online retailer Snapdeal. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).
