A software update roadmap for Samsung devices has just appeared online and it lists out 2 phases of updates for phones to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 and S6 edge+ will be the first to get it as they are scheduled for an update in December 2015 itself.
The latest smartphone from Gionee, the S6 has just been announced in China. We had seen the leaked images of the Gionee S6 a few days earlier and now it has gone official and they have done without the Elife branding. Gionee GN8001, new mid-range smartphone has been certified by TENAA (via) in China. According to the listing, the smartphone packs a 6-inch 1080p AMOLED screen, is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core (MediaTek MT6753 likely) processor, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Amigo UI on top, has 8 or 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Micromax Canvas Mega E353 went on sale online earlier this month, and the Canvas Amaze Q395 surfaced on the official website. Now the Canvas Amaze is on sale on ebay.in. This week had quite a lot of announcements particularly in terms of accessories. The most important of which is probably the Tag Heuer Connected which is the luxury watch maker’s first smartwatch priced at US$ 1500.
OneNote has updated its mobile apps on Android and iOS with a bunch of new features and improvements. The note taking app from Microsoft is also getting an update for web.

Micromax launched the Canvas Blaze 4G Q400 smartphone last month for Rs. 6999. Now the Canvas Blaze 4G+ Q414, it’s successor is available from eBay.in. Specs in the eBay listing doesn’t match the specifications of the official site. It has the same 4.5-inch FWVGA display present in the Canvas Blaze 4G and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, but this is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735M SoC, instead of Snapdragon 210 SoC. The upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro has just been certified in China and we have images of the smartphone courtesy of TENAA which is their official certification authority. The images show that the smartphone has a metal body and fingerprint sensor at the back.
