Samsung Galaxy Note 2 OTA update brings Multiscreen feature

Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Note 2 that brings Multiscreen feature. This feature was supposed to come pre-loaded, but it started rolling out only through a Over the Air (OTA) update. The Multiscreen feature was first introduced in the Galaxy Note 10.1 (Note 800) that makes multitasking easy by running the apps side-by-side. LG E960 images surface, is this the next Nexus?

New images of the LG’s Nexus Smartphone LG-E960 has surfaced online. There are 2 set of pictures, one has a curved design with a rugged back, and other one has a similar design as the LG Optimus G since it has a cover on it. According to these images, both these devices run on Android 4.1.2 with the Linux 3.4 kernel and has the board name Mako. Samsung Galaxy S III Android 4.1 update starts rolling out in Korea

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy S III 3G and LTE versions along with the Galaxy Note in their home ground, Korea. Samsung was the first to offer FroYo and Gingerbread update in Korea, but the Jelly Bean update for the S III started rolling out in Poland and other European countries last month. Rumor: Android 4.2 to be released in a few days as an incremental update for Jelly Bean

Everyone is excited about the next Nexus and also the next version of Android. Rumors are going around that the next Nexus will be announced with a new version of Android, maybe 4.2. But according to software versions spotted on server logs  show that that Android 4.2 will be coming out sooner than expected, within about two weeks and it might be an incremental update for Jelly bean and not Key-Lime Pie as we were expecting it to be.

Lava XOLO X900 Android 4.0 update starts rolling out

Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update is now available for Lava XOLO X900. The first Intel Medfield-powered phone was launched in August for Rs. 22,000, but it got a price cut to Rs.17500 last week. We reviewed the device in May when it was running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbead), now the ICS update brings several features including a new UI, faster browser, new lockscreen with face unlock, new camera UI, better compatibility for apps and games and more. S Huawei Ascend Y100 now available in India for Rs. 5990

Huawei has launched the Y100, their new entry-level Android smartphone in India in partnership with Spice, hence it called S Huawei Y100. It has a 2.8-inch (320 × 240 pixels) TFT Capacitave touch screen display and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is powered by a 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has a 3.2MP fixed-focus camera at the back. The Huawei Ascend Y100 was announced back in May for select countries. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Benchmarks – quad-core Exynos CPU and Mali-400 GPU

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 2, successor of the Galaxy Note in India last week, and we managed to get hold of the device to run some benchmarks. These benchmarks test the performance of the 1.6 GHz quad-core 4412 Exynos processor with Mali 400 GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 topped in most of the benchmarks when compared to the other quad-core devices such as Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X and the LG Optimus 4X HD. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is hitting stores soon in India and here we have an exclusive unboxing of this  quad-core phone from Samsung from the Middle East thanks to our very own Sandeep who is on a vacation.The retail packaging for the Note 2 is pretty much the same across the globe. Watch the unboxing video below.The Note 2 is a pretty big phone but surprisingly it is easier to grip than the first Galaxy Note thanks some design changes.

TomTom launches its official navigation app on the Google Play store

TomTom is one of the best dedicated navigation application out there other than Google Maps. TomTom’s services were previously available on the iPhone and also HTC had exclusively used their service for their premium devices. Now, TomTom has launched their official application to the Google Play store competing directly with Google maps.
