Panasonic Toughbook FZ-T1 rugged handheld with Android 8.1 announced

Panasonic has announced Toughbook FZ-T1, the company’s latest rugged handheld targeted at enterprise customers  including retail and hospitality, manufacturing, transportation and logistics. It hasintegrated barcode scanner with two trigger buttons, either side of the device, and will also get a separate long and short range barcode scanning accessory for inventory management such as scanning from forklifts, shelf stocking, assisted sales or order taking and queue busting.

Nokia 2 finally gets Android 8.1 Oreo beta

HMD Global launched the Nokia 2 budget smartphone in India back in November last year. At the launch the company confirmed that the phone will get Android 8.0 (Oreo) update in the future. Later in December HMD Global’s Chief product officer Juho Sarvikas‏ confirmed that Nokia 2 will get Android 8.1 Oreo update directly skipping 8.0 update, and also said that it the update will bring most of the Android 8.1 features including the memory management improvements. Huawei’s Honor brand launched its flagship Honor 10 smartphone in India last month running Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.1 on top. Now it has rolled out a new update that brings several new features including party mode feature that lets you connect several phones to play the same song simultaneously, HiTouch that lets you quickly identify objects by scanning them, Paytm entergration, and most expected EIS feature for videos.

OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 5.1.8 update starts rolling out in India

OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS 5.1.6 with several new features including portrait mode support for the front camera, battery percentage in the status bar, Idea VoLTE support in India Dual-4G network option and more last week. It rolled out OxygenOS 5.1.7 update a few days back that brought few more features, but the company said that the OxygenOS 5.1.6 update for India had stability issues.
