Chrome 70 beta brings fingerprint login support for Web Authentication on Android and Mac, enables TLS 1.3 and more

Chrome has been updated to V70 beta as the V69 is finally stable. This beta is not as big as the previous version but has security-focused features. Chrome 67 for desktop has added web authentications which will allow sites to use fingerprint or a Bluetooth key as the sole login method. This API is now enabled by default on Android. YouTube Dark Theme rolling out widely for Android users

YouTube for Desktop got dark theme back in 2017 and since then it is the most requested feature for mobile as well. iOS app got it in March. Google rolls out September 2018 Android security update

Google has started rolling out new over-the-air (OTA) update for Pixel devices and also posted factory images as part of monthly Android Security release. The update for this month also includes functional patches that improves battery charge in Retail Mode for Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL as well as improvements to SW Version reporting and audio quality over car speakers for all the Pixel phones.

OnePlus 5 and 5T OxygenOS 5.1.5 update brings Treble support, August Android security patch

OnePlus has released new OxygenOS 5.1.5 update for the OnePlus 5 and the 5T that finally brings support for Project Treble, after it was released in a beta update back in July. At that time it said that it has finally found a solution to bring Treble support after several months of evaluation and hard work, even though last year it said that old devices won’t get Project treble.  It also now lets you confirm your PIN without tapping, which was introduced in OxygenOS 5.1.11 update for the OnePlus 6 last week. OnePlus 6 OxygenOS closed beta registrations now open

OnePlus already released open beta for the OnePlus 6 back in May, and it keeps updating it frequently.  Now the company has announced that it is opening registrations for closed beta program to get feedback and refine or revise the OxygenOS based on that before pushing the public beta.

You can now switch to MIUI Beta ROM without unlocking Bootloader

MIUI Beta ROM gets updated biweekly, which includes closed beta on every Tuesday and public beta on every Friday but all devices running MIUI come with MIUI Global Stable ROM pre-installed. Users could switch to MIUI Global Beta ROM using Updater method or Fastboot method but company always advised users to flash MIUI Global Beta ROM using Fastboot method after unlocking the bootloader of their device, but now users don’t need to unlock bootloader to switch to MIUI Global Beta ROM.
