After the roll out of open beta 2 based on the latest Android 9.0 (Pie), OnePlus a few days back rolled out third open beta update which brings fixes to ambient display, face unlock, fingerprint scanner and brings a new feature to launch google assistant or any other app by holding the power button for 0.5 seconds. The update also brings support for more Parallel apps and OnePlus Switch 2.1 with new features.

OnePlus has released the first OxygenOS Open Beta update for its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone, which is based on the latest Android 9.0 (Pie) after several developer ROMs and closed beta. It brings gesture navigation for Android P, new multi-tasking menu and more. It also brings Gaming Mode 3.0 and new Do Not Disturb mode with adjustable settings. OnePlus already released open beta for the OnePlus 6 back in May, and it keeps updating it frequently. Now the company has announced that it is opening registrations for closed beta program to get feedback and refine or revise the OxygenOS based on that before pushing the public beta.

OnePlus has rolled out OxygenOS 5.1.6 for the latest OnePlus 6 smartphone that brings several new features, including the portrait mode support for the front camera, as it had promised at the launch event. It also brings battery percentage in the status bar, Idea VoLTE support in India (However some are reporting that it still doesn’t work), Dual-4G network option and more, including power consumption optimization and system stability improvements.
