Dell Venue 8 7000 series Android tablet launched in India for Rs. 34999

Dell introduced Venue 8 7840 in the 7000 series, as the world’s thinnest tablet at just 6mm thickness, back in September last year. It went on sale in the US earlier this year. Now the company has launched the tablet in India. It has a 8.4-inch (2560 x 1600 pixel) OLED display, is powered by a 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor with PowerVR G6430 GPU. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera, two Intel RealSense Snapshot Depth Cameras for depth mapping, measurements and 3D editing and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Gionee just announced the Marathon M5, the company’s latest smartphone in the M series with a 6020mAh battery using two 3010 battery cells. Gionee promises up to 62 hours of standby even if the phone has only 5% of power left. It has fast dual charging chips and can also be used to charge other devices. It has unibody metal build with a narrow frame and is just 8.5mm thick (4.75mm edge), even though it packs a huge battery. HTC One M9 owners to get a minor software update today

HTC will push a minor software update to its One M9 users in Europe, the Middle East and Africa sometime today. The patch will bring the software version to 1.40.401.5.

Coolpad launched the Dazen X7 smartphone in India last month. We brought you the hands-on impressions and its unboxing recently, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a Octa-Core MediaTek MT6595M processor which as four ARM Cortex-A17 cores clocked at 2GHz per core and four ARM Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.69GHz per core, based on ARM big.LITTLE and 28nm HPM process. It has PowerVR 6200 GPU, 2GB RAM comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p display and runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) with Cool UI 6 on top.
