Xiaomi MIUI 7 announcement set for August 13
Xiaomi has announced an event on August 13th to introduce MIUI 7, its next MIUI ROM. The MIUI 6 was introduced back in August last year that brought a flat user interface and new features. Even though early versions of MIUI 6 were based on Android KitKat, the latest smartphones such as Mi 4i are running on MIUI 6 ROM based on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop).

Android Lollipop adoption hits 18.1%
Google has released Android distribution numbers for June and July. Android Lollipop is now running on 18.1% of Android devices of which 5.0 Lollipop is present on 15.5% of devices while Lollipop 5.1 runs on 2.6%.

Samsung introduced the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini back in 2013, which was launched in India in July 2013, now the company has silently launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Plus (GT-I9195I) in Europe. This packs a faster Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC and also comes with 4G LTE support. It also runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. Other specifications are similar to the original Galaxy S4 Mini, including a 4.3-inch (960 × 540 pixels) qHD Super AMOLED display, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 1.9-megapixel HD front-facing camera. Motorola Moto G (3rd Generation) was launched in India last week starting at Rs. 11,999. We already brought you the unboxing and the photo gallery of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.36 GHz per core, slightly faster than the clock speed of 1.19GHz on other smartphones. Sony hosting an event on 2nd September during IFA week – Might announce the XPERIA Z5
Sony already announced the XPERIA C5 Ultra and the XPERIA M5 earlier today but apparently there will an event in Berlin, a few days prior to IFA which is from 4th to 9th September. So it seems that Sony might be readying another smartphone which is most likely to the the XPERIA Z5 which was teased in a James Bond promo last month.

It has a 21.5-megapixel rear camera with 0.25-second Hybrid Autofocus, LED flash, 4K video recording, 5x Clear Image Zoom (allows you to get close without losing any quality) and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.
