Micromax has launched Canvas Sliver 5, the company’s slimmest smartphone in the Canvas series. It has a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX219 sensor, Blue Glass Filter, LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Micromax says that it is the slimmest smartphone ever at 5.1mm thickness end-to-end without any bumps.
The frame of the smartphone is made of aircraft grade aluminum. It has 4G LTE support (FDD-1800/2600/800 MHz & TDD-2300MHz), 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage and packs a 2000mAh battery. It has NXP Smart PA audio chip and Dirac HD audio technology for an enhanced audio experience.

The Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 comes in Black and White is priced at Rs. 17,999. It will be available through online and retail stores across India by the end of June. Micromax is offering Onsite Care service which will pick up your phone for service and deliver it within 7 days. It also comes with double data offer for Airtel customers for 3 months. The company’s brand ambassador Hugh Jackman will promote the smartphone.
