Xiaomi has announced MIUI 7, the latest MIUI ROM at an event in Beijing on the fifth anniversary of MIUI. It is based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop), has personalized UI with thousands of themes, new Mi roaming, faster response speed and better battery life compared to MIUI 6. Xiaomi has announced an event on August 13th to introduce MIUI 7, its next MIUI ROM. The MIUI 6 was introduced back in August last year that brought a flat user interface and new features. Even though early versions of MIUI 6 were based on Android KitKat, the latest smartphones such as Mi 4i are running on MIUI 6 ROM based on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop).
