Along with the Xperia Z5, Sony also introduced a new flagship product called the Xperia Z5 Premium and boy is the name apt for the phone. The Z5 Premium is the world’s first smartphone to come with a 4K display. Even in 2015, we have had flagships from various manufacturers with 1080p displays and while many think of 1440p to be overkill, we have Sony here with a 4K display on a smartphone. We went hands on with the device to see whether or not the display really does justice on a smartphone screen and to check out the other aspects of the device.

It has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button and packs a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Sony G lens, Hybrid AF speed of 0.03s, 5x clear image zoom without loss of quality, 4K video recording, similar to the Xperia Z5. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium with a whopping 4K display goes official

Sony along with Xperia Z5 has taken wraps off Xperia Z5 Premium at its dedicated press conference at IFA trade show in Berlin. The Z5 Premium carries the same design language as that of the Z5, but has a superior 4K display on board.

Sony has announced the Xperia Z5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at the IFA 2015. It has the same 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos display and is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor, similar to the Xperia Z3+ or Xperia Z4. It runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. It also comes in Dual SIM variant as Xperia Z5 Dual depending on the market.

Huawei has announced Mate S, the company’s latest smartphone in the Mate series at the IFA, as expected. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED  display, is powered by a Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 935 SoC based on big.LITTLE configuration and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Emotion UI 3.1 on top. It has a force touch display that perceives different levels of pressure on the screen, allowing the user to complete different actions such as zooming in to a photo or launching an app by applying pressure.
