Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OTA update for the Moto X Play smartphone in India. Motorola rolled out the Android Marshmallow update for the Moto X Style in India back in November last year. In an interview last month, Amit Boni, general manager of Motorola India confirmed that Motorola will roll out Marshmallow update for the Moto X Play in India soon.

Motorola has launched the Moto X Play, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in India, as expected. It was announced back in July and packs a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display, is powered by a Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, has a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 4G LTE support and 3630mAh battery. The version launching in India also comes with dual SIM support. It has Moto Voice, Moto Display, Moto Assist and Moto Actions. Motorola India just sent press invites for the launch of Moto X Play in India on September 14th, after both Motorola and Flipkart teased the India launch of the smartphone recently. The Moto X Play was announced back in July and packs a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display, is powered by a Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, has a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and 3630mAh battery that promises up to 48 hours of battery life with mixed use.
