Intel has joined hands with US based footwear maker New Balance to work on an Android Wear powered smartwatch that is particularly aimed at athletes. The smartwatch is said to enable runners to “focus on their training so they can constantly improve performance.”

Huawei announced the Mate 8 smartphone for the global market at the on-going Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The device carries the same form factor of the Nexus 6P, which is also built by Huawei but has a huge 6-inch display.

Huawei has sent out press invites for the launch of Honor 5X smartphone on January 28th. It is the successor of one of the most popular Honor 4X smartphone that was launched in India last year. The teaser image shows the smartphone’s unibody metal build, rear camera sensor and the fingerprint sensor below the camera. The teaser has a caption Faster Better Stronger to mention that it has a faster processor with more RAM, better design and a stronger metal build compared to its predecessor, the Honor 4X. Casio has announced WSD-F10, the first rugged Android Wear smartwatch at the CES 2016. Apart from water resistance up to 50 meters, this is also built to military standard specifications (MIL-STD-810G) so that it can withstand a variety of rugged activities. Huawei has unveiled two new Android Wear powered smartwatches that are specifically designed for women. Dubbed as Jewel and Elegant, both the watches sport a 1.4″ circular AMOLED display.
Huawei had announced the G8 smartphone in the G Series at the IFA last year. Now the company has introduced same phone as the GX8 for the US at the CES 2016. Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OTA update for the Moto X Play smartphone in India. Motorola rolled out the Android Marshmallow update for the Moto X Style in India back in November last year. In an interview last month, Amit Boni, general manager of Motorola India confirmed that Motorola will roll out Marshmallow update for the Moto X Play in India soon.
