MIVI One 5G powered by Snapdragon SoC launching in September

Domestic consumer electronics brand Mivi is expanding beyond audio and wearable accessories with the upcoming launch of its first smartphone, the MIVI One 5G, scheduled to debut in India in September 2026.

Key Details and Platform Availability

Promotional teasers hosted on Flipkart confirm that the device will be sold under the “Flipkart Unique” banner, marking an exclusive retail partnership for its initial rollout. The handset represents Mivi’s entry into India’s competitive entry-to-mid-range smartphone category, where homegrown brands have recently sought to re-establish a presence against established multinational rivals.

  • Hardware & Connectivity: The MIVI One 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G processor, aimed at delivering reliable efficiency, daily multitasking, and mobile gaming.
  • Design: Teasers showcase an olive green rear finish featuring a flat back panel, rounded corners, and a metallic-finished frame.
  • Service Infrastructure: To support the launch, Mivi is emphasizing its post-sales ecosystem, advertising over 500 service centers nationwide alongside free pick-and-drop service covering more than 19,000 pin codes.
Market Context and Positioning

While full technical specifications—including camera sensors, display refresh rates, and battery capacities—remain undisclosed ahead of the official reveal, industry reports suggest the device will target the sub-₹15,000 segment. Sources also indicate that the smartphone may emphasize an internally designed printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and a lightweight, near-stock software environment to appeal to budget-conscious buyers seeking clean UI performance.

The move follows Mivi’s steady scaling of local manufacturing operations at its facilities in Telangana. A formal pricing announcement and sale date are expected closer to the scheduled launch later this month.
