Coolpad has announced that its unit has filed lawsuits against three group firms of Xiaomi for several patent Infringements. The company’s subsidiary, Yulong Computer Telecommunication Scientific (Shenzhen) Co. Limited has filed a lawsuit against Xiaomi Telecom Technology Co, Xiaomi Technology Co, and Xiaomi Factory Co, in a court in Jiangsu province for using its patents without authorization. Coolpad Group has received $300 million in funding from Power Sun Ventures after separating from LeEco in 2017. Coolpad with the new funding is aiming to expand its capabilities in artificial intelligence. After a period of hibernation, CoolPad caught up with the dual camera trend and launched a mid-ranger dubbed as Cool Play 6. Another selling point of this smartphone is its 6GB RAM.
