I’ve been recently hooked up with the Samsung Galaxy S by the friendly people of Vodafone Austria’s press department, anxious to see if this Phone lives up to its hype. I know quite a lot of people who talk good things about it, so i just had to find out what all the fuzz is about. I’ve had quite some Experience with Android before, spanning from the T-Mobile G1, over the HTC Hero, Acer BeTouch E110 to my current HTC Desire, which i bought when i switched providers. While i always loved HTC for the good specs and it’s Sense UI (yes i love that), i usually had a hard time with their Entertainment Hardware, meaning camera, speakers and overall Multimedia Compabilities. Of course, the last term can be improved massively with Apps from the Market, but none of the other. Wit that, and my huge background with Nokia Devices, i went out and tested the Galaxy S for about 2 weeks now and here’s what i thought about it. Keep in mind, those are my personal opinions, which might differ from your own.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Live Pics
We were at the Samsung Galaxy Tab India launch event earlier today and had a chance to play with the device for a little while . Hardware wise the Galaxy Tab seems pretty impressive. No rough edges or creaky sounds. In short solid piece of hardware. The size of the Galaxy Tab makes it very portable. No it still wont fit it in trouser pocket, may be a coat pocket. The screen is pretty responsive and Android 2.2 FroYo is pretty fast. The only bad thing about the device is it’s Price – Rs.38000

80 Photos Of The Nokia N8 By The Nokia N8
If you thought “Geek Art” stopped at only piling up Nokia N8s inside each other, then think again. When you have a Nokia N8 in your hands, you realize two things simultaneously: 1. the hardware and design are like nothing by any other manufacturer currently, magnificently well built, and 2. the camera is astonishing, for landscapes, everyday shots, and specifically macro shots. It’s only when you add these two revelations together that you wish you could take a photo of the N8 with the N8, because no other device could capture this much details, and no other device is this beautiful.
Fortunately, if you have two N8s (even for the short period of time that I had them), you are blessed with the amazing opportunity of doing just that: taking a photo gallery of one N8 with another N8. Inverse and repeat.

Geek Art: 5 Nokia N8s Inside Each Other
Question: What do you do when you have not one but two Nokia N8 review units at hand and a *lot* of free time?
Answer: Well, what any respectable geek would do, you play, you take pictures, and eventually you try to breed them, because you know that ultimately, you have to return both, but you *so* want to make your little N8ties to raise, love and keep when the parents are back with their legitimate owners.
And this is the result. Can you see the 5 Nokia N8s in this photo? (Click on the image to open the full 12MP resolution one). Oh it’s beautiful!

Nokia N8, The Initial List Of Fourteen Wins And Fails
The N8 (or Nate as I’m growing used to call it) is here. It’s been released, it’s shipping, and people all around the world are receiving their units. Finally, after too long a wait, I have an N8 in my hands, for a proper test and review. Following my “The N8 is Perfect, There, I said it” assertion, there really is very little I can say to top it up. Or can I?
The N8 landed in my hands 2 days ago, and while I still maintain that it IS the perfect handset for the photography and multimedia buffs, I had mentioned that it doesn’t target me, and I’m not particularly thrown towards buying one. So, over the last 48 hours, I’ve gone from awe to oh to ouch and back to awe several times with the N8 in my hands. Here is the compiled initial list of N8 wins and fails, in my book.

Dear Nokia, If US Developers Don’t Come Now, I’m Afraid They Never Will
We all know that while there are a lot of cool developer houses in Asia, Europe and Africa, for whom coding for Nokia, and Symbian more specifically, is on the high priority list, there are still tons of amazing software companies in North America who would rather play the lottery by publishing their titles on iOS and Android amongst fierce competition by hundreds of thousands of other apps, than play The Wheel of Fortune and work on Symbian where getting any fame is almost a guarantee.
So why am I making the statement that if developers don’t come now, I don’t think they ever will? Well because of three factors essentially.
