Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 8.0 at the MWC 2013 earlier this year. Samsung announced at the Samsung India Forum 2013 in Hyderabad last month that the tablet would launch in India as Galaxy Note 510. Samsung put the Note 510 for pre-order last week at a price tag of Rs. 30,990. Here we have the benchmarks of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (GT-N5110), Wi-Fi variant of the tablet. Even though the tablet which we tested didn’t have 3G support, the benchmarks are likely to be similar since these are powered by a Exynos 4 Quad (4412) CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz and a Mali-400 MP4 GPU. Same had used this processor in the Galaxy Note 2 that was launched last year.

Meanwhile the remaining four Cortex A7 chips running at 1.2 GHz will assist during less intensive tasks. ARM’s hypervisor working at the kernel level will switch between the A7 and A15 cores depending on intensity of the task involved. While we’ve just begun to scratch the surface of the Samsung Galaxy S4, here are a few preliminary benchmarks to give you an idea of the kind of performance to expect.
