Realme launched the realme 5 smartphone, successor of the realme 3 along with the realme 5 Pro in India yesterday. We already brought you unboxing of the realme 5 Pro, here we have the unboxing and the first impressions of the realme 5.
At the Realme 5 series launch, the company also launched the Realme Buds 2 successor of the Realme Buds that was launched last year. These have 11.2 mm bass boost audio drivers. These retain the magnetic locking from the predecessor, so that it makes carrying and tidying the earphones easy.
The Realme 5 Pro is official. At a starting price of Rs. 13,999, the 5 Pro will replace the not-too-old Realme 3 Pro, with the main advantages in the upgrade being a Quad Camera setup, a refreshed design and the spruced up Snapdragon 712. The mid range market gets a new boost yet again and Realme pre-empts the competition which is already working on offerings for this hotly contested market segment. Realme at the realme 5 and realme 5 Pro launch event today confirmed that it will launch the realme XT, the company’s first 64-megapixel quad camera phone in September, after confirming earlier this month that it will launch before Diwali. Earlier rumors said that it will be called realme X Pro.

Realme just launched the Realme 5 Pro, the company’s latest smartphone in the realme series, as it had promised. It has a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Dewdrop notch display with 90.6% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, is powered by Snapdragon 712 10nm SoC with up to 8GB RAM, Hyperboost 2.0 with touchboost and frameboost for an enhanced touch control and frame rate while gaming and runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with ColorOS 6.0.

Realme is all set to launch its new realme 5 and realme 5 Pro smartphones in India on August 20th. Flipkart has posted new teasers for the realme 5 quad camera smartphone that confirms main camera with f/1.8 aperture and 1.25μm pixel size, 119-degree ultra-wide lens, Super Macro and depth sensing portrait lens. Update: August 13 — realme has posted new teaser for the realme 5 Pro that says that it will be India’s first quad camera smartphone in the segment with a 48-megapixel main camera with Sony IMX586 sensor. The realme 5 is expected to come with a 13-megapixel or a 16-megapixel primary rear camera, even though it will retain the same ultra-wide sensor, Super Macro and depth sensing portrait lens.
Realme, at its ‘Camera Innovation Event’ announced that it will launch its 64MP camera phone with quad rear cameras in India before Diwali. It also announced that quad camera is coming to realme series, realme pro series and realme X series, so the phones should be realme 5, realme 5 pro and realme X Pro, based on the teaser.
Back in June, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has confirmed that the company will be introducing world’s first smartphone camera with 64MP GW1 largest 1/1.72″ sensor and 1.6µm pixel. In addition, he also said that the phone will be launched in India first. Today the company has confirmed a separate ‘Camera Innovation Event’ in Delhi on August 8th to reveal world’s first 64MP Quad Camera on a smartphone.
Realme, since its inception, has gained popularity in the country because of VFM offerings in the mid-range smartphone segment. realme launched therealme X smartphone in India couple of weeks back starting at Rs. 16999. It went on sale starting from July 24th from Flipkart and Realme.com. At that time the company said that it will be available offline soon. Today it has announced that the realme X will be at all realme offline stores pan India from August 3rd, 2019.
