Realme 6i Review: What the realme 6 should have been

When the realme 6 was launched back in March, I reviewed the phone to be great budget smartphone with a focus on gaming with its 90Hz screen. About 5 months later, realme has launched the realme 6i, which is a less expensive version of the realme 6 with a few compromises. When you compare the spec sheet between the two smartphones, you’ll notice that it is nearly identical with the sole exception of the rear-facing primary camera, which has been replaced with a 48MP sensor instead of the 64MP sensor found on the realme 6.

For this reason, my review will focus primarily on the camera of the realme 6i, compare it with its more expensive brother, along with a few minor differences I noticed when reviewing this phone.

Realme 6i with 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, Helio G90T, 48MP quad rear cameras launched in India starting at Rs. 12999

Realme just launched the realme 6i, a cheaper version of the realme 6 smartphone that was launched earlier this year, as it had promised. It has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate, 90.5% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T SoC with up to 6GB of RAM, but features a 48-megapixel primary rear camera instead of 64-megapixel camera in the realme 6, while retaining the 8-megapixel 119° ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel mono sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor for 4cm macro shots. Realme 6i with 6.5-inch mini-drop display, Helio G80, Android 10, 48MP quad rear cameras, 5000mAh battery announced

Realme just announced the realme 6i, the company’s latest budget smartphone and the successor or last year’s realme 5i in Mayanmar, as it had promised. It packs a 6.52-inch HD+ Mini-drop notch display with 89.8% screen-to-body ratio, and is the first smartphone to be powered by the latest MediaTek Helio G80 12nm SoC with up to 4GB RAM, and runs Android 10 with realme UI on top. Realme 6i with Helio G80, 48MP quad rear cameras, 5000mAh battery to be announced on March 17

After rumors, Realme has confirmed that the realme 6i, successor of the realme 5i will be introduced in Myanmar on March 17th. The company has confirmed 48MP quad rear cameras for the phone. It also said that this will be the world’s first phone with MediaTek Helio G80 processor, which is a slight upgrade to the MediaTek Helio G70 12nm SoC that was introduced on the realme C3 last month. Realme 6 with 64MP quad rear cameras teased officially, FCC certification reveals 5000mAh battery, 18W fast charging

realme launched the realme 5 smartphone back in August, since then the company had launched several smartphones in the realme 5 series including the realme 5s with a 48MP rear camera and the realme 5i. Today the realme India CEO Madhav Seth has posted an image captured using the upcoming realme 6 smartphone, which confirms quad camera setup, similar to the realme 5 series, but this has a 64-megapixel main camera.
