realme 5 Pro gets official Pixel Experience support

realme launched the realme 5 Pro smartphone in India running Android 9.0 (Pie), which was later introduced as realme Q in China. The smartphone recently received Android 10 based realme UI 1.0 update with a bunch of new features such as dual earphone connection, animated wallpapers, customizable icon shape, new charging animation, realme Share (cross-brand file-sharing technology) and more.

The company claims that realme UI is crafted to provide a near-stock Android experience but in case you wish to enjoy a Pixel like Android experience on your realme 5 Pro, there is good news for you as realme 5 Pro (RMX1971) finally gets official Pixel Experience (Android 10 based) support.

For those unaware, Pixel Experience is amongst the popular AOSP based custom ROMs that aims towards providing a Pixel-like stock Android experience. It takes no bloat approach along with Pixel exclusive features to provide users pure vanilla Android experience on any device.

To flash a custom ROM, users need to unlock the bootloader of their devices and flash a custom recovery, refer to this post for detailed bootloader unlocking procedure but make sure to take a backup of your data before proceeding.

TWRP recovery for realme 5 Pro can be downloaded from the link given below, flashing a custom ROM does not affect the warranty of the realme devices as communicated by the company in various community posts.
