Nokia 600 announced with new Belle OS

Nokia has announced Nokia 600 smartphone that runs on Belle and it claims that it is their loudest smartphone ever. The loudspeaker has audio output of 106 phon, similar to the one in their feature phone Nokia X1-01. This phone has NFC support, FM transmitter and FM receiver with the internal antenna, so that you don’t need headphones to listen to the radio. iPhone 5 to be GSM + CDMA world phone ?

Unwired View reports that the next generation iPhone might be packing in dual mode GSM + CDMA capabilities. App usage logs for a high profile iOS developer indicate two different sets of MCC (Mobile Country Code) and MNC (Mobile Network Code) codes from the same device. The codes correspond to AT&T and Verizon.

Samsung announces Galaxy Y and Galaxy Y Pro smartphones

Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman Review

Back in 2005 , Sony Ericsson launched a line of Walkman branded cellphones. The W550i and W800i were to make up for the shrinking market share of Sony’s Walkman line of music players.

Extremely popular and bundled with great earphones , the Walkman series of phones became well known for their superior audio quality. Fast forward to 2011 and we finally have our first smartphone as part of the Walkman series. HTC Omega , Eternity WP7 phones launching on September 1st

HTC recently revealed its plans to hold a product announcement on the 1st of September. BGR reports that the Taiwan based smartphone manufacturer plans to announce two new Windows Phone 7 Mango based handsets. The handsets are evidently names the Omega and Eternity.

SE Live with Walkman handset announced

Following in the footsteps of the Sony Ericsson W8 , the company has just unveiled a new budget Android based Walkman handset. The phone is powered by a 1Ghz processor with a 320MB of RAM. The screen is 3.2″ with the same disappointing HVGA resolution as the W8. The OS running the show here is Gingerbread along with the custom SE UI layer on top.
