Nokia unveils a new handset with Music, Nokia 5235 which seems to be an effective upgrade to the existing 5230 phone. Nokia 5235 will deliver its users with unlimited access to the Nokia Music Store catalog and will enable them to download as much music as they want during a 12 or 18 month period. Once you’ve created your Music Store account and entered your Comes With Music subscription PIN code, all the prices will disappear, making downloading music even easier. You can also download music through a PC using Nokia Ovi Player.
George Linardos, Nokia’s VP of Product, Media today told that Nokia’s Ovi Store is currently generating nearly one million downloads a day and the company is now working on a completely revamping the Ovi store, which will be launched in 2010. The battle between Apple and Nokia got a little more bitter today as Apple Countersues Nokia. Nokia had earlier sued Apple over patent infringements
Apple is now claiming that Nokia is stealing their technology.
Most of us would have used Skype on the Desktop either for chatting or for Client calls or just talking to your family when you are away.
You can now use it from your Symbian phone without having to logon to your desktop. (Skype via Fring/ Nimbuzz has been around for quite sometime. This is official and supports Skype out calls too)
Skype have announced a beta version of their Symbian application today and it has a lot of features and comes close to the desktop version.
Nokia is in cost-cutting mode right now. After announcing closure of its London Flagship store Nokia USA has announced closure of its New York and Chicago flagship stores. This is sad news because I visited the London store only recently and the Chicago store last year. But in USA everything is so expensive in stores an most consumers prefer to order online. Nokia today announced that it has joined forces with New Alliance, an investment company which is part of the Shanghai Alliance Investment Ltd, to form a 50/50 joint venture company which is designed to offer a range of mobile services in China and support the local developer ecosystem.
