The Nokia N97 Mini is here and we have an unboxing video just for you. The N97 Mini is actually much much more appealing than its big brother. We are actually liking the mini as the screen is VERY responsive and the phone has about 200 odd megabytes of free memory . The phone comes with the 2.0 firmware pre-installed if that’s adorable.
The folks at AAS love Symbian for sure and they bring us some great screenshots of the Symbian^3 which was shown off at Nokia Capital Markets day yesterday where Nokia even announced plans for Dual SIM phones and a Maemo 6 powered device in 2010. Many were speculating that Symbian does not have a future and that Nokia might ditch Symbian for Maemo. But this does not seem the case. Nokia is going to be releasing phones in S40, Symbian and Maemo next year. The screenshots are only from the Concept stage but still they are refreshing . Actual devices might obviously differ when they are announced in first half of 2010

The Nokia N900 may be seen as an internet tablet with phone capabilities. The N900 has got the best browser on a mobile phone and we are not kidding. We used the N900 alongside the iPhone , OmniaHD , a Blackberry and an Android device and our conclusion was that No Other phone can come close to N900 in the Browsing Department. All websites load and appear the same way it does on a desktop including banking sites and airline sites which are the most problematic.The screen is very responsive and there is kinetic scrolling, zooming. Javascript including AJAX,Flash work pretty well
Well a Nokia N87 12MP Camera phone with a 800×480 Capacitive Touchscreen actually sounds cool. That’s not all it has both a Xenon Flash and Dual LED Flash.But is it real ? watch the video below
Nokia’s recently announced X6 music device might have failed to gain a lot of attention at Nokia World 2009, due to the spectacular success of the Nokia N900, and its limited availability with Comes With Music service, but it still is a great solution for those who want a nice capactive touchscreen, S60 5th Edition, and 32GBs of built-in memory. The X6 also has a GPS receiver, a good 5MP camera, a nice interactive homescreen with contacts, applications, email and calendar showing up, kinetic scrolling widely implemented, HSDPA internet speeds…
Here are some comparison pictures next to its oldest sibling, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, showing that the X6 is a bit longer but the same width, and much thinner. Both devices have the same connectors and keys at the same locations in all sides, except for the X6 not having an external microSDHC port due to its already integrated 32GB memory. The X6 also doesn’t come with any stylus, since its capacitive touchscreen doesn’t function with styluses, but only with finger touches.

Nokia today released the latest version of its cross platform application and UI framework, QT 4.6. Featuring support for a new platform and possessing powerful new graphical capabilities and support for multi-touch and gestures, Qt 4.6 makes thing easier for the developers who are developing advanced applications and devices.
Bloomberg is reporting that Nokia is suing a number of LCD Manufacturers including Samsung Electronics and LG Display Co. Nokia has released the Facebook application for the Nokia E72 and it’s predecessor, the E71. It is basically a non-touch version of the S60 5th Edition Facebook application and optimised for the landscape orientation.
The application allows you to update your status, see what your friends are up to, upload photos, check messages and look-up phone numbers when you need them anytime and anywhere. The Nokia N900 has a great 3.5 inch Touchscreen display with 800 × 480 pixels which works pretty well under most conditions . But don’t we always crave for larger displays ? How about blogging on a 21 inch TV with the N900 . Apart from blogging the TV-out feature of the N900 is so cool that you can watch Youtube videos playing on the phone browser on your TV (with audio ofcourse)

Nokia E71 users can grab a new Firmware update for your device using Nokia Software Updater or NSU. The version 400.21.013 Firmware Update has been released today
E71 lacks both UDP ( User Data Preservation ) and OTA ( Over The Air ) updates . So make sure you backup your phone contents via PC suite
The update is 107 MB in size and it will take around 15 mins to flash your phone.
